what about baked potatos with 12oz sirloin and a half cup broccoli? can you compare it to boiled potatos. i dunno do you? The glycemic index measures blood sugar response per gram of carbohydrate contained in a food, not per gram of the food. this here provides varying "ranking" of carbs on the GI.

I hear what your saying. But you never will get an exact measurement of anything if you think about. Carbs, fats, or protein With that steak you just stated there is variables in the amount of fat contained per cut so in essence you could be missing what you are shooting anywhere from 5-10 grams of protein per meal everytime you eat possibly missing you protein intake by 20-50 grams a day, thats enough to make a difference don't you think. Think on that while you workout. haha. We will discuss later, I am cooking and you need to go catch up with me....

Other factors to consider with diet that may affect your intake/macros, is cooking, bio-availability, protein synthesis. For me I shoot for a round about figure and stay in a certain range that i need to be in while bulking.
