sounds like a good idea to me. California has areas with very violent gang activity. might not make a huge difference but it will make some cases easier to close.

Basicly you are saying just give everyone a gun, even gang bangers.

If you really want one, who cares if it has a stamp on it? Do you plan on using it for a crime? If you are just shooting cans in the yard who cares what the casing looks like after.

Having to print little things on a firing pin is not going to stop multibillion dollar companies from making hand guns any time soon.

This new law wont make a difference either. So what they can match a gun to a bullet? So now the gun will be at a bottom of the lake after they use it. It will tell them were the gun was originally sold. You know they gun will have been mysteriously stolen months before
The laws are made to punish the people who don't follow them. So yes, the s h i t bags are gonna get guns anyway but at least if they get caught there will be some type of punishment.

I agree with Arnold here. It may not work, but at least it has ideals and it's a start.

i can see points on both sides of this...........all the "gang members" doing drive bys will have no worry about what the hell the gun stamps on the casing- because if they have any type of intelligence they'll have already stolen the gun from somewhere else....but what happens if they got the mac-10 or whatever stashed in their "crib" because frankly they just don't want to throw out such a hard to come by weapon... then the cops storm his place, find the weapon, and bam...they've got a match, or about the men out there who lose control when they're wifes leave them and shoot em up ... normally everyone and their brother is fully aware that the husband is more than likely the guy who p ulled the trigger, and i'd say odds are likely that the guy has his gun registered especially if he's just a normal middle class dude who lost control- it just provides evidence to throw out in front of a jury...Prosecutor: "the gun that killed her is the same gun that is registered to her husband- how do u explain that?"....thats some legit evidence. granted there will be ways to get around this, such as throwing out the bullet casings- just like theirs ways of getting around the barrel markings on the bullet- in that case just slam a screw driver down the barrel and completely scratch the piss out of it and create some extra grooves that'll show up, no way they'll be able to match that and show it in court... the firing pin does get weathered so, i do believe the marking will eventually rub off- so i can see the people's points about them worried it being a conspiracy......Arnold's just being political, like someone else says, it just looks good on paper....i honestly don't think we'll ever see the effects of this bill....why not go buy a gun from another state not requiring that it be marked? or how about the guns in circulation now, and up until 2010?...it will indeed make guns harder to buy for the average joe.....i don't own a FOID card now- but i could get my hands on a Glock right now- w/out a problem, as long as i got the $....it seems like a waste of time, but its just him being political...way to go arnold says my grandma

"Arnold has betrayed us for the last time"

When did he start betraying us to start with?

Whenever a politician takes a bold stance on anything usually they are putting their careers first but I don't see how this is a bad thing. If it helps catch the perpatrators of gun crimes then what's the big deal? Goodcents its hard to believe you're 34 and not 14 sometimes.

    California

    History
California was founded in 1849 by Carlos de California, the son of royal parents Juan de Mexico and Pilar de Puta. It was originally founded to serve as New York City's garbage dump, though that privilege has since been given to New Jersey. Nothing interesting has happened since.

    Government
The governor of California is Arnold Schwarzenegger, a cybernetic organism (Living tissue over metal endoskeleton), who calls the state "Cullyfawnia." He has made necrophilia illegal in the state, which is one of the things that has dropped his approval rating and made people hate him since he became governor.

    Why This State Sucks
Many white bimbos or wiggers can be found driving large SUVs on freeways or paved roads while talking on cellphones to their pimp, meth dealer or mom. For leisure, they enjoy hiring wetbacks/******s to manicure the lawn, purchasing gas, receiving multiple DUI's, smogsets, drinking wine coolers, smoking speed, or getting sand containing broken glass in the vagina while tanning at a salon next to the beach. All other ethnicities are working three jobs for minimum wage, and wishing they were rich white whores. You may see them selling lemons at the stoplight or picking strawberries by the highway. Unlike most states, the ground regularly moves around.

    Why this state doesn't suck

    It has great weed.

But only because it's all laced like that Hawaiian shit that everyone got a couple weeks back.

    Damn that stuff was good.

    Economy
The United States is pretty sick and tired of California. For at least 100 years, California has been the home of shitty entertainment, child molesters, serial killers(Los Angeles), Pornography (San Fernando Valley), and Mexicans. Until recently, it was also the home of the tech industry, but that has since moved to India knowing that sooner or later California will sink back into the ocean, where it belongs.

Since then California has found itself a dumping ground for what the rest of the country refuses to let into their states. This can be observed with the massive amounts of Mexican immigrants; who mostly serve the elite with chores they'd rather not do: I.E. mowing lawns, roofing houses, etc. But since we've allowed them to come into our state, we've noticed a large increase of crime-- even more so then when we let the ******s come here without being shot on sight-- which range from petty theft to arson, which not only brings down the areas the Mexicans inhabit, but the entire state and its foreigner-based economy. It has become extremely hard to find a job being done that pays minimum wage without a Mexican already doing it under the table for lower wages. Mexicans are willing to accept such a pittance of a payment because they need any kind of job to support the humongous families that they've spawned not only in California as well as the hellhole that they call Mexico. Mexicans also tend to whine like the little ****ers they are whenever someone mentions their ****ing huge useless families and the fact that they should get their asses back to 'Mehiko'.

Wow a little personal knock and some great information too , maybe we should just throw away all of our guns and dump the steriods too, it will lower crime too (steriods are illegal in case anyway has had their head up their ass ) less steriods=less crime

They are not suggesting it be done, fuk head arnold made it a law!!!!!! either do it or not sell the gun. Firing pins wear down over time for anyone that knows shlt about guns, a micro stamp woiuld wear off very quick or have residue on it from firing and not print, duhhhhhhhhh

    But it's FANTASTIC!
You pissed about it being ahrder to get a gun?
    1. Do you already have a gun?
    2. Other people will have trouble GETTING a gun which leaves YOU with a gun already, and them maybe not a gun.
    3. How many guns do you NEED? You only shoot one at a time, or two pistols.
    4. How often are you FIGHTING someone off with your gun(s)? Were you recently burglarized today?

So it takes a little longer to get a gun, I don't mind that.

The reason this is taking place is because all the morons who cause trouble. So don't be mad at Arnold, be mad at the other dumb people who are causing us to have to do this.
