Hell is eternal darkness, your not only seperated from God but from man also. It is the abscence of love. Total darkness. I dont mean to be a downer but only wanted to let you know.

Yeah, it is a serious subject though for the christian, Christ talked more about hell than he did about heaven.

We dont have to worry. All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I believe that includes all those who struggle with diff. diseases and disorders. I believe God will be far more understanding than most people think.

imo
i think being a Christian is having your therapist in your religion,
anyone ever think that?
i heard on the radio the other day the best phrase, give a shot out to god as he is there for you but remember he is not your roommate. LOL

I am not Christian (I am Buddhist), so please excuse me for posting in your thread. :P
You sound like a very religious person, so I was wondering, isn't Bodybuilding part of the seven deadly sins? I.e. Vanity (and possibly greed).

What if you are bodybuilding to be healthy and strong, and you don't care what you look like? Is that a sin?

Yes, but I think the majority of bodybuilders have (at least some) sinful motives, including me. I think it's hard/next-to-impossible to be sinless and body build.
Generally bodybuilding starts off with envy (envy to be someone else), and then to achieve your goal you have to eat excessively (gluttony/greed), once you have reached a certain desirable state you have pride (vanity) about your body.
PS Not trying to start a flame, just saying what I think is true.

I have read the bible cover to cover three times and have also read various books in the bible many times over that....
I never read anything about hell.....Hell is an english term, Jesus referenced a place called Gehenna (which was in Jeruselem), and also some letters in the epistles interchanged the term Gehenna with Hades (greek term).... another term is Sheol (place of the dead or grave in Hebrew).... all these terms are loosely interchanged with the english word Hell. This causes the misconception of what Hell like you are stating above is, with what those original terms meant.
The only place everyone goes to is the grave (dead)....and belief in Jesus as the savior gives one the chance of eternal life and to be ressurected (rised up, brought forth) from the grave or dead state into life at the appointed time...Last edited by rockinred; 05-21-2008 at 07:24 AM.
