    Calipers Vs. Scale....Bodyfat%

So I have been using this handheld bodyfat thingy and then I used the scale a couple of time and the handheld always says somewhere b/w 16-18% and the scale is in the low 20%s. I knew that I should be lower than that so I been begging the trainer to bring his calipers from the other gym and he did.

He measured me today in the arm pit, stomach, and thigh. He came up with 12.3%! Those scale are rediculously high.

Here is a picture that I took on the 23 of June (yesterday). I still have the little tire around the mid-section that I want to get rid of. I've changed my diet, was on test cream, now on hcg , and this is about 2 months worth of time. I will post a pic from before and after. Earlier pic on the Left.

Sorry for the different quality in pics, but latest one was from cell phone.

calipers are the best besides Hydrostatic underwater weighing. Im a trainer and they tried to get us to use thoughs handheld scales and a vutrex machine and they are always WAY high. calipers are good as long as the person using them know what they are doing.

well i duno dude no way he is 13 %.

The face and stomach not possible. You can see it in his face.

How much do you weigh? That might give us a better idea as to much BF you have.

Take a picture from the side. Light can be deceiving But if your anywhere under 18 % you will not have a visibile stomach. Maybee its the light but yours looks pushed out.

For calipers you need quality ones that a profession is using who is experienced at doing so. Its almost impossible to do the calipers yourself properly.

Sorry again but no slam, A test cream is not very good and HCG alone is not a good PCT and often isnt needed for such a light cycle.

Actually i recall the BF i would say your 17-20 though.

take a side and a back pic that can help. flex in the side pic. often stomache fat comes off at the end of cutting and the "cutting" is more visible on the arms.
Not all fat is lost the same throughout the body some areas lose faster then others while some dont. Usually for men lower back and the stomache area comes later.

The Picture on the left was taken about 3 months ago. I was around 210 in that picture. The picture on the right was taken yesterday. I was about 204.

    I am 5'11 and 33 years old.

I had the trainer at the gym do the calipers TODAY and he did it with the 3 spots and used a calculator to come up with the end result. I have NO idea how to use those things.

HaHa. Nawh, its actually 2 link chains. I like big bulky chains. People always ask how I wear those heavy chains. Just always have, don't even notice them. They NEVER come off.

I am on HRT and the cream was prescribed by the doc and so was the HCG ! I have never done a cycle, NOT cause I don't want to, but because I don't have any resources.

    I am desperately searching!

I've got one of those scales, I can step on it 3 times in a row and get 3 drastically different bf readings each time. Calipers are the way to go for quick home measurements.

Actually, I have been eating really clean. But I am trying to actually gain muscle mass and stay lean. So I am bulking and trying to reduce the bodyfat at the same time.

So, Thats why I give myself alot longer.

ok, yeah. The back has been discouraging, I thought that I was working that pretty hard, but it is slow to come around. I have to hit the chest twice a week to get a response out of it. It use to not move at all.

I got the pic fixed, check up a few post!

Its hard, almost impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, unless ur a noob or on cycle.

Yeah, I don't know who came up with those scales, but it looks like they made a quick buck!

I do need to invest in some calipers.

I agree! I'm trying my hardest by eating clean as possible and lifting hard and taking supplements until I can get on a cycle.

I haven't run that one. I have an FJ1200 drag bike I'm building, but at my current rate of progress I'll be too old to ride by the time it's done.
