I hear they are even cracking down on texting also. Call it driving while intexticated . Some are actually comparing it to driving while drunk.

But now, some are saying its not the phone thats the problem, its the conversation they are having lol....idk

they have the same laws in jersey. no talking on cell phone or texting while driving. thats why i ride a bicycle

Same rule in CT, I got pulled over once, no ticket. The cop that pulled me over, I was good friends with his step-son growing up.

Cops were tough on it the first 6 months, now almost nobody gets pulled over for talking on cell phone.

Now when I see a cop I just drop the phone in my lap. That's the only why it's changed my life.

There be law just against women with cell phones. They get way to much into it. The way i see it, i call someone to tell em i'm running late or wont be making it while driving. What about make up, i hate it when the bitch be putting make up when driving. I think that's just as bad.

i used to drive the freeway to work everyday 2 lanes, and i would always pass this guy with a newspaper on his steering wheel and he would drink coffee! now that my friends is talent. i guess it was so he could sleep when he got to work..............

even though the insurance companies provide the data that shows that talking on a cell phone does NOT increase the probability of an accident any more than any other activity that distracts a driver??

So when they make it illegal to have a radio, eat, or even to talk to a driver, that's good by you??

Yea mann... I live in a very congested city! I personally experience or am the victim of cell using morons on a weekly basis, yes you bring up a good point as far as eating, radio etc BUT in all reality you shouldn't be eating and driving or blasting the radio(unless crusing down Ocean Drive) and definately not having a phone conversation for your entire commute...

Great example... woman (gender adds emphasis to my point, LOL) with cell on her right hand on the far left lane drives at speed limit when all of a sudden she realizes there is construction up ahead and must change lanes(she's distracted, there's a brain delay and delayed reaction until orange cones obstruct her lane) her first reaction is merge THEN look, she looks in her rearview sees nothing and goes, then OOPSS!!... there's little ol me in my 300zx traveling in the middle lane RIGHT NEXT TO HER.... a swerve, some gas, some manuevering and i'm still alive to type this text... this happens often in Miami. So yes i'm for this... If i lived in Montana, without a population, in the countryside i wouldn't have a prob...
