Unfortunately, all the TV channels here in Japan only show when Japanese are competing. Three different channels all showed the same judo match at the same time. The rest of the time, the commentators are lamenting that the Japanese men's & women's soccer (football) teams were beat by the US and that their 48kg women's & 60kg men's judoka didn't win gold medals. They think they were robbed by the refs or something.

It is a travesty that China even got the Olympics. I see all the razzle dazzle and I can not help think of all the millions that were displaced to build all the Olympic venues. I can not believe the rest of the world is so blind to China's horrible civil rights records. I guess things like that do not matter when it comes to money.

that 400m relay last night was amazing. i can't believe he came back to win that, fastest split in history too..

but i'm looking forward to track the most. the 100m should be epic: tyson gay, usain bolt, asafa powell.

8am ET on USA. Should smash Angola but wouldn't be surprised if it was very physical. Haven't played them since the dream team smoked them by almost 70 in 92 but it was a nasty game with Barkley throwing some elbows pissing off the Angolians. Hopefully I can catch some of it in the morning but I'll miss the 2nd half.

Yeah, what I heard. On paper, they are no match. But they can be a bit rough.

Ill probably miss it, so Im recording it.

Love it. Phelps is incredible. I hope he breaks Spitz's record! The guy is pretty muscular/ripped too, wonder what "supplements" he's using?
