If you had friends I would suggest the Wii because it's a riot with a group of friends but since you don't, I would go with the 360 just because of the better online community.

if you have a ps3 with a full 1080p hd tv and the hd cable, it is unbelievable.
plus the xbox doesnt have a blue ray dvd player.

The difference in graphics between the PS3 and the XBOX 360 is very, very minor so it's pointless to compare the two. Plus I think the 360 has a wider range of games and is far cheaper to buy than a PS3. Great games ive played on the 360 have been COD4 online and Condemned: Criminal Origins.

Don't everyone write off the Wii, it's a great little console and why it cant match the 360 or PS3 in raw power, it still has great games (and more games), COD5 is out for it and set up gives you a more immersed feel in the game because of the unique control pads. I can't wait to see my sister and her family over christmas cause it means I get to play Wii golf and Wii baseball! Im sure the Wii infact has sold more consoles world wide than the 360 and PS3 combined, so that should say something for its popularity.

I'd go for a 360 or Wii personally.

360 has a lot more games then the ps3. And most of the important games that were made specifically for the Sony Playstation are now crossing over to Microsoft. Personally, I am a HUGE Final Fantasy fan.... and they are making their next installment for the series for the Xbox this time around.

And if you really want a Blu-Ray player, the prices of those things are dropping like pancakes.

wii is pretty cool, but sometimes you just want to play games without doing anything, i have a wii and a 360, and depending on how i feel determans which one i play. i think tiger woods for wii is pretty cool.

I have the PS3 and the 360. I mainly use the PS3 for Blu-Ray. I think the 360 is better for online gaming.

xbox 360 is a lot cheaper then the PS3, you can get one for 199$ while PS3 is 399$.

I always bough playstation before, i wanted a change so i sold all my ps2 gear and went on to buy an xbox 360, i dont regret anything.

Gear of war is worth the price of the console on its own amazing game, prince of persia, WWE2009 is pertty cool too and the upcoming UFC 2009 game.

I know that PS3 comes with a blueray dvd player but i am not going to spend an extra 10-15$ to buy blueray dvds

I like the 360 much much better. But to tell you the truth I think the PS3 might be picking up steam from 2009 and onward with games like God of War 3. They're both the same really but the ps3 has the blu-ray advantage, but i'm happy with the much cheaper DVD movie format. Graphics are the same I don't notice any difference except for some exclusives the ps3 has like MGS4 which looks amazing. But almost everything else on ps3 is on the 360 but better. I just picked up gears of war 2 last night from 7eleven that game kicks so much ass dude. And last thing to add is, the 360 is sexier. It just looks better than the PS3 LOL!

I've logged like 120 hours into FFXII and still haven't decided to just beat it because there are so many side-quests.
I can't wait till 13 comes out.

It would also be sweet if they came out with a new Chrono Trigger or Ark the Lad for PS3.

it's amazing the fighting system on it is fun, you have to learn to time different combos or it won't complete them, lots of strategy in the game

I got the PS3, and I enjoy the wireless connectivity it has, I use it for just about all my home entertainment. Playstation LIFE is an awesome program to leave on all day.. I wasn't able to get one that was compatible with PS2 games, so I'm a little peaved for that. The XBOX is a great system if you're comfortable with modding it to optimize the performance. I can't find a good reason to justify the cost of the Wii, right now.
