Please name one socialist policy Obama plans on enacting? Even his proposed healthcare policy doesn't force anyone to carry insurance, nor does it eliminate private sector insurance. It makes insurance available for everyone. It gives you the option to choose. That doesn't sound like socialism to me.

I don't want to turn this into a policy debate but some of you guys take stuff to the extreme. Totalatarinism? Are you serious, c'mon!!

Well Obama is "claiming" to put in new progress concering renewable energy and stem cell research, and i'm pretty sure Bush and that nut Palin were against Stem Cell Research, so both of those are a pretty big deal (to me anyways). Yep, i'd have prefered Ron Paul as President, but shit in one hand and wish in the other, see which one fills up first.

I guess time will tell what Obama will be like.

i am not directing my comment to anyone, people need to evaluate their minds they want so much from obama thinking that he's got a magic remedy or maybe he can flip the world up site down in just a snap of his finger.
i know he 's got a big task to accomplish and he's ganna be under an intense pressure for every move he's ganna make its very hard to finish it within his 1st or even 2nd term as president. thinks r so messed up " i don't mean to scare anyone"
i've talked to couple investors inclunding my banker who told me that some banks who have bought some falling banks thinking that they can fix them and make profits they fell on there heads by loosing a big chunk of money just recently. on the day obama took office the dow jones and some other stock companies lost about 20%, don't get me wrong iam not in any shape or form blaming the guy. people are very afraid to get that savings they got and invest it, even some of my family members did that its kind of like paranoia.
this thinks that r happening can only interpet one thing which is
#1 thorough evalution of the system c what needs to stay and what needs to go.
#2 quick and wise plan to fix the system before it gets worse than this.
#3 create jobs and help small businesses grow. i will leave it here.

as much as i hate bush, and i do think he had a good hand in destroying the economy, i recently found out the destroying of our economy started in the 90s when clinton signed the NAFTA bill. millions of jobs were literally lost overnight when he signed that. unfortunately im pretty sure obama said hes not touching nafta. during the 92 election ross perot actually warned that nafta would ruin our country and people laughed at him...if only he woulda been elected!

^^^ nafta - the sub prime mortgage lending act - good old clinton who has been hailed for the US having such a good economy while he was president - did the old rob from peter to pay paul and has done incredible amounts of damage to our economy, playing a HUGE and primary role in where we are today economically ....and yet walks around smelling like a rose - what a joke...

    These are words of wisdom.

In terms of the economy, the best Obama can do is inspire consumer confidence.
