I think its cruel to say you don't want him to return from deployment. As a person who has family and CLOSE friends in the military, the marine corps, I am utterly shocked to read what you wrote. as a Marine myself I get extremely angry when I hear of Marines doing stupid stuff like this, it makes me wonder if they ever learned anything from their time in the Marine Corps. While I wouldn't wish death on him, serving your country is no excuse for being a D-bag, especially if you're a Marine. I think the M-16 is accurate to a point target from upwards to 850 yards or something like that and a group target is even farther but on our ranges we only go so far back as 500 yds, not sure how to convert that to meters for you playa. You must have been one of those SAS guys huh...jk

I think the M-16 is simlar to our SA80, both 5.56 i believe. Im not sure myself what 500 yards is in meters myself but our ranges were 800 meters and the targets had to bre hit at that..

Current standards for Royal Marines is to have a 6 out of 10 grouping from 400m with the SA80 to be carried out after running after finishing the edurance course followed by. A 4 mile run all to be completed in less that 70 mins. Paras and RAF reg do a similar test of their own design. To be SAS you got to be a great shot before going, same goes for the top 3 in the uk hence SAS etc are majority ex para Raf reg or Marines.
