same here. I gave it a try.....I really really gave it a try. It just feels like to synthetic for me.

I also gave thrice and from autumn to ashes et al. tries on a few occasions over hte last year or so......I do like the guitar playing, I just can not for the life of me get past the vocals. I just cant do it. everything i know and appreciate about metal comes out of 80's-early 90's.

/\ Yeh I saw a vid of his studio a few months ago, dudes got skills but too dry and slow sounding, trance just sounds fuller and more energetic.

I do like his music though not rippn at all

Haha it's hillbilly country for those who don't like country. To each his own. To me it's just good music. Nothing beats a guitar and someone singing about life IMO.

When I was a kid I used to watch this show called The Incredible Hulk , there was this song that they played at the end of every show when he was hitchhiking to a new town.
    I like that song.

Hell yeah Dont forget the Steel guitar and a fiddle, nothing better in my opinion. But I will jam out to some rock when I feel the need to pumped up for something. Which is virtually all the time.

Guys seriously if you think jamie johnson is good check out stuff like nighttime ramblin man-hank III, stuff by wayne the train hancock.

Seriously nashville picked him out to help captalize on the outlaw country market dont be fooled. Nashville its self killed country music. It turned into a big political deal. Hank williams is not a member of the grand ole opry. They wont reinstate the godfather of country music!!!

They shun anyone who wont sit on music row and write there songs in a office. They shun shooter and hank the third. All new country on the radio sucks and thats simply a fact its pop music not country.

You think the opry ever wanted guys like cash, waylon, willie, coe, paycheck, jones, hank jr, hank sr, kris, around fvck no. Nashville killed one of the orginal musical forms of this country.

brilliant post m8 . But remember when these guys ex hank snr came along they werent classed as country . And sort of rocked the boat a bit . I still think they are partly to blame for this new stuff (sorry cant call it music) they kept pushing the limits a lttle more untill it just didnt sound right ie cash singing personal jesus , sorry but that aint no country song . Come on a depeche mode song .

We are going to have to agree to disagree. I think they were the model of what country is. Well Garth brooks was a fat wanna be cowboy who was a marketing major and knew how to sell records. If it wasnt for chris ledoux the fatty would have probably never been sh!t. Were loosing all the outlaws that had to stand there ground and there being replaced by these kids from a manufactured town and they dont have a clue about sarrow and low cause there all just to damn busy kissing ass on music row.
