I look at my own body and often think how remarkably engineered it really is.
The human brain is the MOST complex device in the universe currently known to humanity..
Who believes that something/someone designed and created us.
Or that by some freak chance we came from a glob of water and mud.

just a personal opinion, I think the chances are just too slim that our planet is just a random happening... even in 4.5 Billion years.. the odds come out to something silly like winning the lottery every day for the rest of your life..

i definitely believe in creationism, even being in the biology/biochemistry field i have seen nor heard anything yet to change my opinion and i am NOT one of those closed minded people that sticks their head in the ground when someone is trying to prove something i don't want proven

if i heard something that changes my mind than i'll change, but i have yet to do so

Creationism and evolution are both pretty far out there. I do believe people evolve (tail bone, goose bumps), but I've never seen any convincing evidence that we've evolved from another species, let alone a pool of slime. Beyond that I don't really know, and don't really care.

agreed, i personally think that both are really religions, think about it, both of them require belief as neither is 100% scientifically proven, even the scientific community will tell you that the reason it's called the Big Band THEORY is because it's the only one that have ANY evidence on, and even that evidence is circumstantial

it's a belief system either way, pick one

I am just posing a question to see how my good friends here at AS think about what we are as humans as a species.
This is one of the great mysteries of mankind it is hypothetical for many if not all of us.

I don't know BgSex.. I have a dog and he definitely has a character/being I believe he has a soul to some degree.
Every living creature has a unique energy.. a "lifeforce" within it. When it "dies" what happens to that energy..

You know guys there was a test done I had read about where there was a man that was dying and he was laying on a precision weight scale table. As soon as he passed he lost like a few grams or some small amount that could not be explained.

Yeah its weird. But yeah, I feel if there is a heaven, whats stopping animals from being there too? They have a living functioning body like ours, they have emotions, they have feelings, etc.

I don't think some are made evil and some good. I see it more as a level playing field, and we choose our own path, and for the most part, control what happens in our lives.

But people who are born with mental illnesses and are geniunely crazy, well, thats a different story.
