I'm taking cultural anthropology and finite maths this semester, in addition to my work with sea mammals. I couldn't get into the classes needed for my science major. I'm still eligible for my AA in Behavioral Science or Humanities, anyway. We'll see what this does to my transfer plans. I'm hoping behavioral science is kind of a backdoor into working with animals and actually getting paid a living wage for it.

I still don't understand why you need maths for oyur course? i remember us talking about this before. Have you checked your total credit points and prerequisites?

I have no clue either, but this is a required course. My total units and prereqs are sound. The powers that be at my school (or in gov't?) have decided this is a minimum level of math for graduation at my *low* level. I know of an English major who was forced to complete calculus to graduate with his BA. I guess the bastards there decided no one gets a Bachelors without completing calc, regardless of their focus.

I needed the Math 27 course for a science major and Bio transfer to the nicer colleges (I aimed high). Not being able to get that I'm taking another random math course that is approved for transfer, but I don't know if I'll still be eligible for a transfer as a Bio major or not . I'd ask a college counselor, but they're booked a year in advance. Welcome to California.

I'm thinking your in a pile of crap. Man it sucks because you have to wait semester after semester to finish off random subjects. Gaah, frustrating. Maybe california just sucks. Its a lot simpler here in Australia, but still a bitch, everyone has to do maths too. Good, aim higher! thats the only way i got into my courses. Finish any prereqs you need for transfer then apply!
