    I'm 40 years old today!

Hahaha, the day has finally come. I'm officially a mid aged man? God damn, I certainly do not feel like it. It's hard accepting that I am 40 but I can't stop time.

Thanks to everybody for all of your help and advice here. I have learned more here than anywhere on the net.

Happy Birthday! And I know the feeling having turned 50 not too long ago. But also, it is true that age is just a number....especially for those of us that work to keep our bodies in shape like we do.

So, remember that with each trip to the gym. And hope you have many many more birthdays to come!

Thank you gentlemen, I appreciate the support. Thanks thebigguyy1.

One thing that I do know is that I am finally doing some things right after all of the trial and error. Being young and thinking "I just want to get big" at all costs is a distant memory. Being healthy with a great quality of life is where it's at. I look better than 95% of my friends around the same age. Some people think or say "he's on the juice" and write it off to that. Then they continue to eat poor, drink every day and wonder why they can't get in shape. It's harder to get in shape at this age but it is very doable if you change your lifestyle first. Most people are just too lazy and cannot make that change. Now I don't live a 100% bodybuilder lifestyle. I still have a beer here and there on the boat. My health is very important to me because that is all I got the older I get. It doesn't matter how much money you gather or what you acquired, your health is your most important asset.

Thanks everybody, I really appreciate it. Like a few of you said, it's hard to grasp that you are actually 40 years old now. I don't feel any different or really look much different than I did 10 years ago. Some people have a hard time with 30 but I never did. But 40 has been kind of screwing with my head a little. I think it's just because it's hard to tell somebody your age and have "forty" come out of your mouth.

Very well put! And yes I agree with you must have variety. I bodybuild but I still find time to indulge myself in moderation (I do love my vino!

And I know what you mean about friends. I have friends that still will not get out of their easy chairs, bitch and moan about walking through a store and then they make a declaration about wanting to change their lifestylee, go to the gym, etc etc, and to this DAY I have not had one of them follow through on my offer to go to the gym with me to workout. And I'm SURE they are probably thinking they'd have to be on the gear to get muscles and into shape like me.... Oy!

They don't realize that gear or not, it is an investment in your health and quality of life, period.

In any case...keep doing what you're doing 'cause it works!
