    Hey, not trying to hijack this thread... BUUTT i was thinking since its about pictures...
    Does anyone know about cameras? im looking into buying a decent one to take some good pictures... I was looking at the Nikon D3000.. its considered an 'entry level' SLR..
    Im sick of taking crappy pictures, and i really want a decent camera, because i want to get into photography as a hobby.. looking into the $500-$1000 range.. nothing too expensive..but of decent quality

    If you PM CaliPhotog he will advice you the best to buy for what your trying to achieve.

    Ive looked at the d3000 and it looks nice but I prefer the Canon 500D

    I train very hard all the time and never let up, every chance i have i get in there but its only for short periods of time 45mins at the most but its intense. The pictures are from where I live its all local when I go walking.

    Years and years ago my instructors in High school wanted me to go to college for photography. They said I showed promise, and I was really into it. Unfortunatly I didnt go that route. I used to really enjoy it.

    Its just a hobby i've never done any course's but would like to, I just go out and shoot i do find it relaxing, i will be out soon taking somemore

    The 500D is the T1i The newer 550D is the T2i, this camera is the newest release to the Canon DSLR line. It was just released this month. It is very similar to the 500D only they corrected a lot of the video issues and they stepped up from 15MP to 18MP. They are calling the 550D the lil 7D because its functionality and quality is much higher than most of the rebel line putting it in the mid range pro category instead of the low end.
