here's a few of mine.. I love landscape/action shots etc. Did a photography course for about a week but got bored and quit since it was all portrait crap. I took these on my 3.2mp minolta.. old camera but didnt have to worry about dropping or loosing it.

Im definately not a photographer, not even good enough to be an amateur but there's a tree by work that looks really nice in its fall leave change so I took this pic this morning with my new car.

KP todays digital SLR's are about that simple although you can adjust almost any factor...gone are the days of my Dad's SLR's where you had to guess at your settings and light conditions, shoot the pic, then wait weeks for developement to see if you f'ed up or not. Now you can shoot a billion pics on your mem card and look at the back of your cam or laptop 2 secs after you take the pic and adjust settings as needed Marcus. thanks the cam is a canon 5D with a 24-105MM zoom.

congrats on the car (they're awesome machines!) and good pic. Suggest you turn the car around 180 degrees (looking at the driver's corner) and also move it more to the left so the tree is behind but to the right of the car. Not sure I'm making sense? It would put the emphasis on the car but have the great colour of the tree in the background... I'm no expert at this so just my 2 cents

Yah, I'll go back and take another couple pics. It was early morning and there was traffic on that road so I only had a few moments in between. Maybe tonight @ dust

kiki - btw, those shots are fantastic!!!
ok knockout, that was fast - I bet you used this as an excuse to go and drive your car (i'm the same way). Better pic! Now though, you need better light (from behind you), and also maybe try a few different angles including putting the camera low to the ground and shooting a little upwards. Also, make sure you can't see the white van in the background. Of course all this is subjective and everyone likes different things. Damn I wish we had colour like that down here in Houston. All we get is green then brown...
Here's my obligatory pic (well 2) - with just 'boring' straight side shots - one with light behind me and one in-front where it makes details harder to see.

Here's a shot I took of Comet Holmes (17P/Homes) taken on 11.03.07. I wasn't piggybacking on my telescope/equitorial mount so since it was a few seconds of exposure you can see the movement of the stars do to the rotation of the Earth. The comet is the ball left of center..the star cluster near the tree is the Pleiades (M45) (the Subaru emblem).
