Like they want to grow up only to be different so that everyone else can name call them and abuse them constantly. You are born that way or not. A straight person cannot choose to be gay no more than a gay person to be straight. Yes they can play the game but in reality you are who you are. And we all pretty much know which way we are going once we reach puberty. When you are 12,13,14 and you are fantasizing about your buddy friends, or the school jocks, or whoever, in or out of school then you are defintely having your sexual identity developed towards being gay and if you are instead thinking of bopping the girl sitting next to you, you know the one, emmie lou cockinlocker, then your sexual identity is definitely leaning straight. And yes there are some gray areas in here also. But as the old saying goes a leopard cannot change its spots. As for my personal opinion on the two, I dont care as life is too short and I have problems enough of my own without having to worry about who is doing what with which and to whom. In the words of Rodney King.... Couldn't we all just get along? Whoa..wait he was beaten by the police..never mind bad example. But seriously it is 2010 and if one is not comfortable enough with your own sexuality to be worrying that a gay man might be checking you out then maybe you are dealing with repressed latent sexual issues. When people ask me when I "choose" to be gay, I answer with a question and ask them when they choose to be straight. I always get a puzzled looked.
