Getting a new cell phone, what to get?
My contract ends and I am going to switch wireless providers and dont know much about these new phones. They got a nice deal on the iphone 8gig $99 on a 3 yr contract. But im not so much a fan of iphones. Any input?

I'm not a big fan of sprint/At&T, can you wait awhile for the new droid smart phones to come out on verizon?

if u deal with alot of emails during the day then go with the blackberry.
if u dont deal with a ton of emails, go with the Iphone..
emails are the only reason to get the blackberry over the iphone..

I would wait until December, the new blackberry Bold will be coming out.
I was playing with it the other day (not on shelves yet
) and let me tell you, it is a remarkable phone.
A bit more slender then the last bold, but with a great sized keyboard still. Not to mention isn't of the ball (which can get defective from dirt/dust) this one has an actually mini-mouse pad (similar to the pad used on Mac computers.)
Great phone.

While creative are great, iphone features and interface is great. I personally like creative when it comes to the mp3 dept, but anything else apple's great. Originally Posted by RuhlFreak55

Iphone..... love it.....
they have Ifrogz covers for it..... the "otter box" cover is bulky but it's water and shock proof for the clumsy cellphone owners

Best phone out right now is the iphone. I canceled verizon early, paid 165 just to get out of my contract to get the iphone. Absolutely no regrets.

All this input on the iphone and nobody out there has anything to say about the blackberry bold? Im pretty much sold on the iphone i guess. But I dono i still find them pretty clunky i like my phones compact but i guess i could get used to it...

The only problem with Verizon is they cripple all their phones with their own software (i know use to be a service tech years ago for them). If they were to leave the software alone from the manf maybe their phones would be better. Why do you think the iphone didn't go to Verizon ? I am sure verizon wanted to modify the software and Apple said F U .

I never really cared for Apple products, till my ex got an iPhone.
Gotta admit it was pretty sweet.
Except, unlike DSM, I was too cheap to cancel my line at Verizon.

iPhone here also .. I love mine .. I have had one since they came out .. Well about 3-4 months after they came out .. ( I bought the first one when it came out in 07 )...

Sure as shit..... a couple months after you have the phone the screen goes red..... the phone turns on and off on it's own. You goto verizon and they issue you a "new" phone..... walk out to your car, turn it on, low and behold the screen is covered in squigly lines. Go back in.... tell them..... they issue you a 3rd phone - then you realize they don't issue "new" phones...... they give you refurbished pieces of shit that other people turned in to be fixed. Some waranty plan that is

I admit my EnV is starting to die....just weird things like after being on for some time it wont let me erase my text message inbox...gotta turn it off and back on.....and some of the buttons on my keyboard are being finicky...but that's the way they're engineered now...break after 2 years.
