I would have to know that I was going to spend the rest of my life with the person. Say you give her/him the kidney and then a few years later you yourself start to have kidney problems. It leaves you up shot creek. If it was a wife or close family member I would do it no doubt. As far as a gf/bf it would depend on how I felt about the person and how badly they needed it.

Is it a life or death situation that is extremely time sensitive?

u can live a full life with only one kidney as one kidney can handle the function of two kidneys but u have to live healthy

the only time id give one up was for family cause i like the feeling of knowing i have a back up

Family yes, otherwise....probably not. If I were a perfect match for someone I would have a hard time NOT giving one up and saving a life (or at least making much more bearable).

This could be a risky subject though. You can never know unless you are in the situation. Just like if your plane crashed in a snow white area and people had trouble finding you(Would you eat someone's flesh to stay alive) All these things are completely up in the air unless you are really put into the situation.

Could you really be someone who let someone die? That is all up to you!

No, a wife, my kid or MAYBE brother/sister ONLY if they did not damage theirs doing drugs or drinking.

I feel if someone fvcked up their kidney doing drugs or drinking (Abuse) then they get what they deserve.
