I'm a mopar guy. My dream car would be a Plymouth Road Runner with the hemi, but a 440 with 6 pac would be fine too. I'd also love to own a superbird version with the big wing and daytona style front end.
Don't know if it counts as a muscle car, but my first vehicle I owed was a lil-red express. I miss that truck...
I owned a 93 5.0L Mustang after, but it wasn't the same. There is just something about mopars that makes me happy.

Bro a 70 charger was the first car I restored.......it was totaled out within 12 hours after we restored it. Saddest day of my life........we put alot of money, heart, and soul into that car.
Now we have (me and my father) have restored a: 67 GTO, 76, 78 Trans Am, working on a 70 chevelle SS now, and after this we're thinking of something different, like a 60's Ford Galaxy.

actually I'm thinking of taking the front tag off and putting dual round driving lights there, molded in. I could fit 5" lights side by side.

Well, it is obvious that we all have great tastes in cars.
That's 2 things we have in common.
Cars, and gear.

Man, I miss my 79'.
The early super duty's w/455 came in to late.
As emissions started to promulgated in the Early 70's killing the muscle car era.
Glad to see it come back so strong.
If Chevy didn't shit can the LS427 for the new camaro, they would be on top right now.
It was destined to be the Mustang Shelby killer for 2010.
But, as usual, it was going to cost GM to much to put it into a production car.
It is, however , available in there performance parts catalog.
it is an unbelievable engine.
GM screwed up on that one.

I had an '85 Firebird with a supercharged 400sm blk. Puttin 500 horses to the rear. I sure miss it. I guess I had to grow up a little!! LOL!!! When they first announced the LS427, I was gonna order one until I heard it wasn't available from the dealer. I'm just gonna wait til I can get the 71-72 I want.

My first taste of power was my 88 1/2 mustang. Last year for T tops. 600whp and tq. The front would lift 12" when launched. Who needs rollercoasters? Loved that car.
I'm now building up my 98 vette. My favorite is the c5 (97-04). One of my friends invested 15ok (parts, did labor himself) into a c5. It was built with the best of every aftermarket component available. Sounded like a jet when the turbos spooled. And it hooked, HARD. Perfect handling too. He sold it
Sickest car I've seen was an 89 mustang notch (not street legal) on a dyno. Guy claimed 1600 whp. He put it on the dyno and both back tires blew out. The metal under the dyno flexed from heat. People were standing right next to it! Somehow nobody was injured. Ever heard 1600 whp from a few feet away? You can but you hands over your ears and you still feel it in you spine. Nasty. Its not right lol.Last edited by F4iGuy; 12-11-2009 at 09:43 PM.

I know I was only really saying it to wind ye up. There are some serioius suspension set ups for all the muscle cars of the 70's that bring them right up to modern standards some great pieces of kit they are I have to say. I'd like to get a spin in a big block V8 some time. Been in big engined V12's and V6's but never a big block V8.
