Wink What Is Your Favorite Muscle Car?

My all time favorite cars are by far the 1967-1970 Mopars.

    Hands down, Period.

    My favorite car?

    1970 Dodge Charger RT/SE 426 Hemi.

I should have bought one, I had a chance to.

    I'd settle for a 440 6 pack though.

Check out the cars on this site.

    Enjoy!

I couldn't pick just one as a favorite, I like so many.
    I had a '64 1/2 Barracuda, and a '71 Cuda 340. I miss them. of course I'm still partial to my uber-vette

    Friend of mine had a chevell 1970, 454 LS-6.

Made some mods for it in machine shop.

    Hurst on the floor. Factory.

Could have bought it for 2000.00.

    That was in about 1983.

Friend I know built a 68 pro street camaro.

350-4 bolt main engine, balanced and blueprinted.

It had a blower sitting on a tunnel ram.

    Car went through the trap @ 168 mph(1/4 M).

Those Trans Ams that came with the 455 "super Duty" engines were fast.

But, so were the 400 ram Air's.

Same engine was ran in the GTO's

The new stuff is good, but I like the old Detroit muscle.

    Cars had lines back then.

I agree I like the classic stuff more, the problem is it takes a lot of body work to get a nice old car to look good. I really like the RestoMod stuff in an old car. Modern EFI, with 6speed manual. Putting out 500+ horsepower and 20+mpg highway, with 4 wheel disc brakes and Aluminum Alloy Wheels and maybe a little AirRide to top it all off.

    I have a 2008 busa. It's been re-mapped, 4 into 4 Yoshi carbon exhaust. TRE-X de-restricted.

Still ain't got the mapping sequence down yet.

2005 busa, I nailed the map on that one.

    Good times.

I like the 8 mpg stuff.

You know that the auto makers underrated all there engines horsepower do to some regs that were going on at the time?

Fords 428 CJ was a killer.

    Dodge's 426 hemi was ridiculous.

Chevy had the aluminum block 427 tri-power.

    Yup.

    Quick funny story:

If with my friend, and he has 2 of his Buick's there. A original stage three 455 GTX, and a 455 wild cat, I'm can't remember exactly. Anyways, his girlfriend is polishing and waxing the cars, and it's like 95 degrees in the sun. So, I'm talking to him and she stops and looks at him. Then she says, "Jim, what do you like better , these cars or me"?
He turns and says, "don't you ever ask me that fvcking question ever again"! Then she went back to waxing the cars.I had to walk away so I could go bust out laughing!

    Funny as all get out.

Guy has over a million dollars in his collection, beautiful cars.
Some are like 1of 2 ever produced.

    Awesome stuff guys!

    Looks like a aluminum block.

    Is that the original block?

    Maybee a crate engine.

Can'd beat the crate engines for the price.

    She is beautuful bro.

Craziest engine I ever saw was a keith black aluminum block hemi, bored to almost 575 cubes.

It was blown, and the NOS was hooked up.

I got him to start it up.

Dam thing was cammed so heavy, it just about could idle!

I forget what HP it dished out, but I'm sure it was around 950.

    Car shows are great.

    68's Nova's had nice lines.

    Malibus, and ElCominos did to.

Nice restoration you got going there.

    Coming along fine.

That's half the fun about resto's, is restoring them.

    Got to love it.
