Do you have to watch the weather reports for high winds just incase it will topple over? Crazy looking but I'd be with BJPenn A C300 or even a CLS merc would be nicer imo.

We dont get alot of high winds here but when it does get above 20mph I kind of have to drive with the steering wheel turned into the wind. But never any issues.

I do love the C300, but I do Pismo trips to the dunes so I love having a truck. I may pick up a used C6 vette at the end of the year for a daily driver and park the truck during the weekdays

Ahh if you said you went up the dunes etc in it. It would have been much clearer I was kinda joking about the wind.

No im 6' and can step right in. My cousin is 6'3 and ripped his pants getting in. My g/f is 5'5 and she kind of hops in.

I guess its just how you go about getting in. I want whats called AMP steps which are the retractable ones but they run 800-1200 and I cant justify spending that when I can get in my truck just fine you know?

My cousin used to live in Australia and told me if my truck was there it would be considered a monster truck, was he ****ing with me? Or are there not really alot of lifted trucks there

Everybody lifts trucks where I grew up at, including me. Chicks freakin love a big lifted diesel.

I want to see it covered with mud and going through/over huge rocks or climbing some massive hills with stumps.
    Then it's a truck.

Nice! What did the lift cost you?

I have an 07 f250 lariat superduty diesel.

Do you have a power programer on the truck as well?

Most of the trucks I see like that are pavement princesses... Hope you put in work with that.

did you buy new headlights? or did you split them and remove the amber corners?
i dunno if you can do that with the new ones, but i did that on my 2000 gmc.
... reason i ask is cuz i'm considering buying a new chevy in the near future and that would prolly be the first mod.

Well truth be told I just got my extended driveshaft installed yesterday afternoon. Only took 6 months lol
So the only kind of trips this truck has seen is Pismo dunes.

Now that I can actually use 4wd I do plan on finding some mud, but its hard around where I live to find those types of places without driving over an hour.

Those are stock head lights which I cut open and removed the amber piece then siliconed back together. You can also do the heat treating method but if you mess up you will melt your headlight.

It does have a programmer, a cheapy called Quad st3alth 2, still a great programmer. Right now I have it set on the 90hp and still get 17mpg on the freeway but only 13 around town.

The lift ran me $1,000, I bought it used off a buddy. Its the perks of living in an area where there are a good amount of lifted trucks. Powder coated it for $250 and got the rear leafs for $250. All in all the whole setup lift, tires, wheels ran me just over $3k

    Love the truck.

Only two things I would change if it was mine would be:
    Change the mirrors to black
Go with smaller rims to see more tire.

I think those two changes would make the truck look mean as shit.

Btw my dream truck is a black diesel excursion with 12" lift and 36" inch tires on 17 or 18" inch rims.

I'm as Duramax nut too, well truth be told I just love diesels This is my truck, its not got a lot of show type upgrades but has a lot of performance and handling aftermarket stuff done. Its a work truck and halls close to 20K lbs. of equipment weekly. It does feel good to be able to pull up to a GT Mustang or a souped up ricer with an 8,000 lbs truck and just wave bye leaving them sitting still.

I'm not really sure why you say the Allison 1000 is a POS. What kind of problems are you having? I have been using Allison for almost 10 years over several trucks including one in a Topkick "think IronHide" they are hands down the strongest most reliable HD transmission on the market. I personally have never seen one fail unless it was due to someone putting huge tires on and a tuner while giving the truck wide open starts at every traffic light.

Tell me about these problems I am curious for sure to know about the issue.

I think that looks good man, If i was you i'd fill those wheel wells with a little more tires maybe 37's or 38's or so just my opinion but it still looks good. I have a nissan titan with a 6" lift and 35's on it. Those things can plow through some mud

Reason I say this is because once you modify it alot of them are prone to slipping. I think mine has slipped twice already but Im not sure, and no I do not beat on it.
I think if you get a suncoast kit for them than they are one of the most kickass trannies you can have. But once you throw a programmer on it you gotta watch it.
I dunno Im one of those guys that wishes GM couldve atleast built the tranny to handle alittle more torque than they can without a rebuild

damn bud thats pretty muddy lol, i bet you still find chunks of mud up under there

Reason I have 36s is because I got them super cheap and Ive already had 38" tires

Once these wear down Ill be hunting for some 40s or some 38s if the price is right. But Id like to throw 40s on

I still havent gotten all the mud off just the worst of it, its still caked on underneath the truck ill probably rotate my tires tomorrow and just give it a nice clean while im at it. But 40's would be sick man. I really want to put a 3" body lift on mine and then put some 37's on there with possibly 20"wheels or i might just stick with my current 18. I just cant decide if I want to put the bodylift on or not. I am thinking I will as long as those 2 extra inches of tire and all arent gonna slow me down too much more, because despite those 35's my truck will still haul ass it can beat alot of diesels...but not all of them haha

Ohhh no, you would be surprised. It doesn't take much to drop it on it's side once it's that high and then???

I saw a NEW truck several years ago while up jeeping, large 4x4 like your, 4d, probably didnt have 1000 miles on it. The guy was negotiating between two trees when one wheel dropped and the thing just bounced back and forth between the two trees like a dozen times before it stopped. It was sad but we couldn't stop laughing for 10 minutes. I think the guy/owner threw up.

IMO the Suncoast stage 4 is about as bullet proof as you can get but it does cost a lot. A hot tuner like PPE will for sure fry an Allison. I do have to say though it is a lot stronger than what Ford or dodge offers. About +85 HP is about all I run because of the heavy loads I tow. Im thinking about a new truck but still debating because of the whole Urea thing in the new models.

I wouldnt go for a new duramax just yet, sure they come stock with 400/700 but theres alot more to them than the LMM and older models.

My tuner is set on 90 and I have a down pipe and full exhaust with cats and muffler removed.

To the Titan owner if you put 37s on you may want to regear and thatll bring your power and mileage back up.

I dont know what they make for nissans but GM people usually go with 4.56s or 4.88s with 37s

Be careful with those programmers guys, my buddy put his at the highest performance setting all the time in his F-250. Ended up burning up the engine. Had ford drop in a new powerstroke for $15G's
