MaNic,

Daybreakers
Sherlock Holmes
The Wolfman
Book of Eli
Transformer 2

Marcus if you like the first transformers you will love the second, when watching transformers films you have to leave your brain at the door but for the special effects and action it is an epic film.
I Enjoyed the book of Eli. Good acting by denzel Washington, just wish it had a bit more action in there. good story line with a great twist imo
as for the other three i have them downloaded but havent got round to watching them yet.

Marcus, I saw The Wolfman in the theatres and I dug it. It wasnt great and the story was slow at times but I liked the atmosphere and lighting of the movie. It looked really good and The Wolfman effects and kills were topnotch IMO. Unfortunately, I was in the minority because the people I went with didnt care for it much but I like to think I have better taste in movies than them.
Oh yeah, and I agree with Energizer Bunny. Sherlock Holmes was a good flic, definitely worth a watch.
Im interested to hear what the people who saw Daybreakers thought too. I totally forgot about this movie. Its the vampire movie with Ethan Hawke right? Im going to look it up on IMDB to see what kind of rating it has.Last edited by jbran23; 05-03-2010 at 05:04 PM.

I watched the Will Smith movie Seven Pounds a couple nights ago. I dont usually watch those types of movies often but I liked it. Keeps you guessing until the end or at least I was anyway. Its streaming on Netflix.

jbran23 - about Seven Pounds, without ruining the ending i'm pretty sure the end is not possible - in fact I think its even illegal to do that sort of thing.
Anyways I like post apocalyptic movies - end of the world type stuff, or after survival - any good suggestions for that? i would not however put 2012 in the "good" category.

What part dont you think possible? Haha, Im afraid to say too much because I dont want to ruin it for anyone who hasnt seen it.
As far as apocalytic movies, have you ever seen 28 Days Later or its sequel 28 Weeks Later? Really good zombie apocalypse movies. Also The Stand (novel by Stephen King) has a pretty good adaptation made for film. Dont know if you are much of a reader but obviously the movie cant hold a candle to the book but its not half bad. I have read the book 3 or 4 times, its that good.

Well without giving too much away its difficult you're right haha, but I think if a person does what happens in the end they can't designate what happens after. If that makes any sense.
and The Stand is a fantastic book! I've seen the movie too, no where near as good, but not horrible - I don't like what they do with Randall Flagg so much in the movie.
Another good book sort of along those same lines is Swan Song by Robert McGammon. Definitely worth a read.

You are right about that part of the movie. My girlfriend said the same thing.
SPOILERS******SPOILERS
Although in the case of his heart, they both had extremely rare blood types so basically she was almost garaunteed to get it. The doctor said the chances of her finding a good heart that matched her blood type was like 2 or 3%. Cant remember the exact number.
I will have to look for that book. Thanks for the recommendation!

The girlfriend is dragging me to see Nightmare on Elm Street tonight against my will. I dont want to support another remake because I think Hollywood needs to stop being so effin lazy and come up with some original shit. The more money these movies make the more they will continue to remake movies.
Does anyone know if any movies have been remade 3 times? Im sure that will start happening soon if it hasnt already.

Well, you can add me into the group of people who thought A Nightmare on Elm Street sucked ass. It was boring, wasnt scary, and they made Freddy look like an alien. To be fair there were a few parts that were decent that showed the story in a different light or from a different point of view but they were few and far between. Mostly I just kept thinking, I have been here and done this and have seen it done MUCH better so why am I wasting my time with this garbage. Give it 4 or 5 out of 10 and thats being pretty generous. Anyone thinking of seeing this, do yourself a favor and watch the original.

My Sister's Keeper ... Starring Abigail Breslin, Cameron Diaz, Alec Baldwin:
I watched the above last night and its the sadness film I've ever seen, it really makes you think what life is about and how pressure things are, its a serious reality check and worth watching but I warn you its sad and emotional. The acting is truly brilliant !!
