Expendables was a good action film, like seeing all those stars in one place.

I haven't seen the movie yet...but the ending of

"was it a dream or not" is SOOOOOOOO recycled...it's what they do in lots of books when they can't come up with an adaquet closing.

True Zimmy but in the context of the movie it was very well done. Endings like that is what keeps people talking and make a movie stick with people long after the credits roll because the ending isnt cut and dried in black and white. You can form your own conclusions and they arent always the same as the next persons. You should definitely check it out.

I loved the expendables. The arnie cameo was so beast.

I was wondering what movies you guys love that have made you a better person for having seen them? Mine would be:

    Good Will Hunting
    Over The Top
    Pay It Forward
    Crazy Heart

Yup, i love movies like this. Movies should "challenge" its audience and leave it up to the imagination of the individual to draw his/her own conclusion. Makes this more enjoyable.

This thread hasnt been bumped in forever.

Watched Catch Me if You Can last night with Leo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. Pretty damn good flic. If that guy Frank Abagnale did half the things in real life that they showed in the movie he is my new idol. Successfully impersonating a doctor, lawyer, and airline pilot before the age of 18 and outsmarting the police on numerous occasions. Awesome. If you havent seen it, check it out.

Watched Machete last night and wasn't impressed. It wasn't ridiculous enough for a Robert Rodriguez movie so it ended up looking like they were half ass trying to be serious. Gave the wrong feel to the movie.

However, it still gets 2 points for full nude Jessica Alba side boobage and full nude Lindsay Lohan boobs multiple times.

hmmm.. 3:10 to Yuma is a 7. .and also a western.. True Grit is on par with it but totaly different type of story.

another 7 would be "Defiance".. the newest Terminators (both 3 and the last one).. Terminators cause of the action Defiance cause of the plot and it is a true story.. like good movies, but i wouldn't buy them unless they were on sale or i was on holiday in Thailand and could get em for like $3-4.. I wouldn't say YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE.. as you could wait till it was out on DVD... but if you wanted to go see a movie you WILL be entertained.. just not blown away.

    8's are:
    Ned Kelly
    Traffic
    Blow

    9's are:
    Pulp Fiction
    Scarface

    10's are:
    Big Lebowski
    Heat
    Super Troopers
    Resevoir Dogs
    Se7en

I was looking into this and this statement is incorrect, it is not a true story. It is a great movie though.
