C.Ronaldo will have a big world cup i think. though he has to play Brazil on June 25th..
USA's first game vs England should be good, both very injury hit right now. becks won't play for England but Rooney will still be enough to Score on the Speed only team of the USA.
I think Germany or Italy will go all the way,.. But I'm pushing for Portugal since they have my favorite player, and they got 4th in 2006.
I was at the 2006 world Cup, sucks I can't make it to south Africa. but starting to save now for Brazil 2014.Last edited by quarry206; 05-31-2010 at 03:30 AM.

I Freaking love world cup time and am a die hard Italy fan. as for who will win, Italy or England. England finally got a great coach and will shine. alot of people think Messi Argentina will win it but i dont think Maradona is as good of a coach as he was a player.

ya but with Englands mid field hurting like they are, I don't think they will do great. IMO they will win their group easily. but past that I don't see them running the tables. .
But I'm with you I have a Man-U Rooney Jersey and I will be wearing it come June 12th when they play the USA.. I am proud to be an American, but when World Cup comes around, I don't put the USA in the running ever.

Spain will win it. without a doubt

Englands performance over the weekend was dreadful. Sure we beat Japan 2-1 but people fail to realise that Japan scored all 3 goals. To cap it off we couldn't even score from a penalty.

Spain have to be red hot favorites, they keep torres fit for the entire competition then they have a great chance!!!
after watching the england game against japan i think this tournament might pas them by, if the beat japan like they did mexico then i would probably back them!!
Holland for me are dark horses, like the germans they are not given a lot of hop, but like spain if they keep van persie fit then theycould shock a few people

Holland without a doubt have a great chance. their problem is that they have a weak back line, they do have many players with plenty of flair like van persie, robben, sneijder and van der vaart.
Torres? villa is more deadly, have you seen his international record? imo the deadliest finisher in the world at the min

Thats hollands problem right now alright, sneijder and van persie and van der vaart can only do so much!! totally depends on who they play, take for example f they play germany they have better chance because germany going forward isnt as good as defending!!!
Ya villa is more deadly, but without torres and villa together i dont think they can win it, villa should be on form, the big money move will stir him up for it

agree on that one. and agree that spain have a grate chance chance in moving to the top but I don't think that they will carry it home. If I was to take a Gess I'd say brazil again.

I honestly don't think spain is going to do well.. they seem to Fvck up alot when it comes to the world cup.. they have only place in the top 4 once ever, and that was 1950.
though they are in Group H to start. I doubt they run the table.. but I will not count them out or by any way imply they suck because they are really good. just seem to mess up when it counts.

beckhams shit. he dont even get in the team so he wont bre missed, he'll be missed as a face in the changin rooms but thats about it. although i think hes in the coachin staff for the world cup.
he lost it years ago wen he left utd and his last year at utd was shit too on the bench all season. hes an overated over payed medioker player

I agree, Beckhams way past his prime. Yeah he's good for motivation and I do generally feel sorry that he missed this worldcup due to injury, because he's got more spirit and pride then half the current England squad put together, but there comes a time when you have to step aside for someone younger, fitter and stronger.

Hope we (Australia) do well this time round. Hopefully we don't get any "controversial" fouls called against us that cost us the game.

who would u have in midfield. BRING SCHOLESY BACK!! haha
gota be gerrard n lampard, a fit joe cole and maybe milner or lennon.
this is why we wont win iut, we havent got a solid 1st 11 that are garunteed to play. gerrard and lampard just cntr play together either, there too alike imo.

Itl be Rob Green in goal, though i would probably take a chance on Joe Hart, he's got great confidence for an inexperienced international!!!
He dropped Theo Walcott today, i understand why...but i still would bring him, even as maybe an impact sub he could terrorise tired defences!!! Also would have brought Darren Bent, ya he didnt play great against Japan but 24 goals this season he deserves to be at the World Cup
Chancesare going down quick for me

i didnt understand why he dropped bent and took heskey...
think we need to play rooney on his own upfront with 5 midfielders of joe cole on the left, lennon on the right, carrick, gerrard and lampard in the middle.
defence gota be obvious with rio n terry, cole on the left and glen johnson on the right.
what do you mean here mate??
