Just back from the store and my kid called me a dick? hmmmm.....

going through the self check out isle at safeway, and you need an override for alchohol. lady comes up, and needs to check my ID. fair enough. I'm 50, but with my boyish good looks and charm, there could be some doubt? anyways, they typically check your DL and input your DOB into the system. Never been a sheep, and don't like giving out personal info, so i just tell her to put 1/1/61 in there and we'll be g2g. but she says that aint right? i tell her that no one else has a problem with it, i'm clearly over 21 (but then again...) so jjust put what i told you into the system, since i don't like giving out personal info. (reasons for it btw). finally she relents after several minutes of discussion. she's so flustered she punches it in wrong several times.

some background:

did you know that when you order a pizza over the phone and then go down to pick it up, they want your telephone number to confirm? no problem, right? well, i get a telephone call the other day from round table telling me they have a special on their X type pizza. how did you get my number? you gave it to us when you ordered a pizza. Who the fuk knew they would KEEP my phone number and put it in their data base?

my woman took her dog down to have her toe nails clipped. we get a call the other day saying it's time to get the dog's nails clipped again?

this was all in just the last couple of weeks.

this society is built on the assumption that we the people are just a bunch of fukkin sheep and that we will just roll over and give up anything that is asked of us. so anytime one of us acts "unsheep like", then people look at you funny, like a trouble maker, and then your kid, who has never known anything other than this period when the electronic age records how many farts per day I make, calls me a dick.

I kind of agree with you Roman..

If you think about it theres probably databases that document everywhere you have ever lived..
Every run in with the law you've had (even the ones where you weren't charged with a crime)
Every purchase you have made with a credit card
Every problem you ever had in school

Oh but it gets worse TR and CDP. I was watching the evening news tonight CBS and there was a clip on there about how our illustrious police officers have now been given another technological marvel of the day to instantly scan every vehicle that travels down the road. Say he pulls to the side to do a scan of oncoming cars and trucks etc. Well with this license plate scanner he can scan something like 1800 plates per minute on cars traveling as fast as 150 mph! Think of the potential for abuse in tracking everyone in society at anytime scary shiat....

I understand why this frustrates you but as a sales person I cant dent I try to figure out anyway to get repeat business from old clients. Keeping a data base is smart. I still mail holiday cards to people I worked with years ago.

Yup it's an ever growing database. All your medical records are online if you want to access them and I'm sure it's shared to a lot more than you/we know. The days of privacy are gone and all we can do is HOPE it wont be abused but I have no doubt it will be in some way, in some cases and our future freedom is at risk. Hopefully some of us older folk will slip by unnoticed and some of the things we though we did in private or said out loud wont be used against us in the future but anyone in their 20s or even 30s who think about a future in any type of politics or any job that requires a security clearance had better be VERY careful what you say online, where you go even by accident, what you look at online, library buy or where you go because as said, they track your/our driving also via GPS and license plates.

Its all about money, i have 4 cats i know i had to tell the vet to fukk off last time, they want to sell you so much $hit, ho its time for Smocky check up now sir, its 61$....... same has the dumb chiropractors you go too they call you up each month you have not been adjusted its very important that you come right away. I get very vocal when this happens, because i know its all hypocrite crap to get your money.

OP I totally agree, I can't sit through 90% of commercials any more....it just bewilders me why ppl do things and don't even ask why, or if they want to, they do it because its the fad or its being shoved down there throat with commercialism.

Quick short and simple.

I said this at a dinner party to a Pro-communist liberal arts student. She was pro everything far left, to the extent of advocating soft Genocide of white people, as we must be "genetically evil, and clensing the world of us would make the world a paradise", her words. Family members. *eye roll*, this conversation was about Communism. She said Communist countries are "workers paradises".

"How come Communism is a "Workers Paradise" yet they always need men with guns to keep their people inside?"

Her answer to the question was not even an asnwer:

"that is soooooo sexiiiiist! How come they have to be Meeeeeeen with guns?"

Agreed, If I'm going to fail I would rather it be because it was my fault or my lack of succeeding than to leave it up to someone else.

im boutta jack your thread bro-- i figured this is the most appropriate place since its about rants--

started a thread 2 months ago. posted last in it about 15 days ago.
nothing has changed, i slipped and fell into my old eating habits. not by choice, but once i was there i was comfortable.
I'm on my way broshopping to get food for the next week or so.
I need to get on a cut--i plan to implement a good solid diet--as outlined above (in my thread) for 2 wks, and then use a supp such as var and test or win and test to help me..if i decide to use it wont be till the middle of july.
but ne who--its hot, and one thing i hate is being fat when its hot out. my neck sweats, swamp balls, back of my knees clammy, etc i can't stand it.
I'm on this site too much--and offer solid nutrition advice but i haven't been doing jack shit.
luckily i havent gained any weight, however i do feel way fatter.
i havent evn been to the gym in 2 weeks--my excuse--"I'm priming" yea ok.

there is 9 weeks until sept --i will use this time wisely.
