This is a pretty bad attitude about things. You own this country? You alone decide the rules and if other people who also live in this country don't like them they should leave? You fought for our rights? Really? You were in the civil war or wars prior? Maybe you passed a bill into law?

As a percentage I would bet my life savings that more police officers are genuinely bad people than the rest of the population.

At a time like we are in now, with all the information available to us, if you are able to say that you are 100% proud of this country and everything "we" have done then you are either lying through your teeth or a complete moron who gets their only information through Fox news.

I may not and dont like everything.But go to some of these other countries.Middle east Korea N or S. China.We here have a lot of rights a lot more than most.People take them for granted.Freedom has a taste the protected will never know a man once said.And yes I said it if you dont like it here LEAVE.Go some where else.I served my country 9 years.Did you or the one ashamed of this place.All I know is if I lived some where I didnt like.I would move its that simple.And yes there are some bad cops.I got screwed a few times.But they dont out# the good.Now you want to see some corrupt policeman? I served... I'm an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran. And yes, I'm ashamed. This country is a going to shit. I'd rather make things better than leave, but I may do the latter. I've been a resident of this city for almost two decades, and I've encountered this homeless man dozens of times. What happened is nothing short of disgusting. For you to be talking the way you are is saddening.

Actually I would say that your post ^^ is less patriotic than songdogs post, and the point is that so many complain about stuff while nearly everyone of them don't realize the greatness of this country and how the rest of the world daily lives are. If we are so horrible why do people flood across the border into our country? Why is the USA the biggest bad a** in NATO and the UN? Why are we the biggest best force out there? Seems as if we have gotten away from our work hard roots.
This is a isolated incident where yes it was bad but don't start assuming the whole country is this way. And if it really bothers you that much you would deny your citizenship (by being ashamed of being American) on a isolated incident then you have lost sight of the whole picture.
The only reason you say this is because of a foreign countries article on some bad cops in the USA. Don't lump that into the whole category of being American.

I have seen the tazer used first hand. There is no freaking reason to taze someone more then once. You fire the prongs, hold the trigger down for five seconds and done. Restrain the person or put the cuffs on. I have never seen anyone need to be tazed more then once. These cops went way beyond what is allowed for force.

My prayers are with this guy's family. I don't give a fvck HOW much somebody is resisting arrest (if he even was to begin with) - there is NO excuse for this. If 6 cops can't subdue this guy, then they are some sorry fvcking cops.

I can tell you one thing, with all due respect to his father, if this were me i'd be on a killing spree. Those pigs would die. I'd welcome prison, it'd be worth it. Death row? What would I have left to live for? They slaughtered somebody's child!!!

Sounds like you have worked for one of the same companies as me. The quickest way to get a promotion is to screw up. Crane operator of 15 years causes over 1m in damages to an airplane and next week becomes a Supervisor. No joke. Fork lift driver runs into airplane mid section causing $$$ damage, 1 month later he gets promoted to supervisor. I know many stories like this all true.
