Old school Metallica is timeless. I listen often. Tonight I listened to some Soulfly and and Mudvayne.

Haha those albums are so amazing because most of the songs where written with Mustaine and Burton. I still prefer kill em all and ride the lightining over any of their other albums.
Their best driving album is and justice for all.

Listened to Metal Allegiance tonight. If you're a hard-core metal fan, you will absolutely love this band.
It's made up of various members of the Metal community, and have several guest vocalists on their new CD.
Check them out. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Superjoint Ritual? Not a new band, but you may like them, DCI.
https://youtu.be/XV29chg_eyI.
Also, don't know if I mentioned them, but you may like Kyuss or Karma to Burn?Last edited by almostgone; 09-25-2015 at 06:50 AM.

Glad you mentioned them, Igi. Think I remember them being mentioned on That Metal Show recently). Briefly skimmed the site @ the link you posted. Lots of good names.
I'll see if Amazon has it and if so I will DL it. We finally get an almost decent wireless signal way out here where I live. Almost considering doing the Amazon Prime thing for a year and see what kinds of good metal, stoner rock, etc. they have in Prime music. The wife uses her tablet as a book more then she does for web browsing, etc.since she found out you can DL a book. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Sweet.. Spotify is awesome also. I pay $10/month and have access on any device. It has an insane library of music.. You can basically listen to whatever band, whatever song, from whatever album you want

I still love cds nothing comes close to just sitting down with a quality stereo and listening to an album through.
Out of interest what do people listen to their music on??
I have a smallish amp in relation to my speakers which I bought on a whim one drunken night haha.
I am using a Nad 325BEE 2 channel amp sounds very nice and has enough power with Bowers&Wilkins DM604S2 beasts serious range these have they replaced my Monitor Audio bronze 6 speakers which are now used as my fronts for my surround sound.
Listening to Clutch now before the gym

I still prefer a CD just beacuse of the cover art and I'm one of those people that reads the credits, etc. However, I have become appreciative of the convenience of DL music since the variety available is staggering.
LOL, I do still have some old vinyl put back. Nothing worth big $$, but some have collector value.
I don't have anything fancy, DCI. My truck has the factory Robert Fosgate system that came in it. It won't rattle the windshield like some of the crazy setups you see, but it carries a good solid bass punch from the sub. The wife says she can usually hear me from a good distance, coming down our road when I am headed home ( remember we're out in the sticks a bit). Also, I have the lifetime subscription to XM radio and listen to it often.
When I'm tinkering around in the yard, I will sometimes use my MP3 player and my old school Shure earbuds.
I have a Klipsch 200w sub and a couple of satellites in my shop, so when I lift, reload ammo, or am fixing/breaking things, I will hook up my one of my MP3 players or my phone to the sub via the 3mm plug. My Pandora radio station list has a good variety of tunes, mostly metal/stoner rock and some trance.
So, basically my stuff is a redneck setup, but I love my tunes. A good song can take me from a ho-hum mood to absolutely hostile in just a few notes. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Agreed on the albums with the art etc that they have. I might be a bit sad but I do love flicking through album sleeves etc.
I listen to music on youtube on my work tablet I'm too cheap to pay for a subs ha and dont see the point in them as if I like a band enough I'll just go and buy all their cds online.
Klipsch are a very good brand my friend and I do the same when we are working on our cars throw music on and have a few beers too the last time we did it we did the timing belt on his supra lol so i get what you mean.
Ahh car stereos ive a decent system in my car but I could have spent half the money if I was more clever about it so your better off not bothering wasting money over the standard one ha.

Soulfly, Sepultura, and Killer Be Killed today. I'm in a Max Cavalera kind of mood.
Also check out Cavalera Conspiracy and Soulfly featuring the Cavalera brothers. So heavy and makes me happy.

Had a listen to the new Trivium album today and I though it was really good. More structured than their older stuff, although I thought their last album was done really well. Saw them live over the summer and they didn't disappoint.
Album doesn't release until early October but they played it in its entirety on XM.
