One thing for sure, it wasn't an easy adaptation for the car during the programming phase. It probably went through 4 or 5 rounds to get it programmed right. It was a little finicky about the whole process.
Don't think I mentioned, it has 60lb injectors. I can still get 26mpg on the highway just driving 75 or 80 in 6th gear. That's actually better than my 6 cylinder SUV with 2/3rds less HP. Kind of strange how that works out.

Low revs and mountains of torque will always yield good mpg at a steady pace like a Mway or whatever Savage Vette man.

It is a good looking car. Handles well and we have tracked it a few times. I wish she had wanted a turbo. She is a car girl, but big horsepower isn't what turns her on.
I thought about forced induction (making 550hp now) for my Pantera, but without some electronic nannies I am sure the car would kill me the first opportunity it had. I hear a lot of guys getting all manly talking about how they hate the electronics in modern cars, but I think they would change their mind if they really drove a high-horsepower car at even 80% for any length of time. One that will go sideways in a turn if you give it throttle, then will wildly swing sideways the other way if you touch the breaks (mine is mid-engine). The next performance car I own is going to have some damn safety features!

No doubt! I love all the YouTube videos of guys getting on the throttle, losing control and hitting a curb or tree. Could you imagine those guys trying to get around a track or racing through traffic? Now imagine if they had no traction control, anti-lock brakes, power steering or yaw control!

Had a 2004 Lincoln Town Car with big rims, loud speakers, dvd screens, immaculate, engine upgrades, dual exhaust.
I traded it for a beat up 2000 Ford F150.
A truck that leaks, no air, squeeks and has dents and scratches.
But I love this truck more than anything.
A $3000 truck instead of a $50,000 car
I can back my truck up to the water, beat the truck up, party on the back and just have fun.
I've never loved anything more than my old truck

Nice ride (the car of course).
I have only driven one Viper, it belongs to a friend. 91 all original and like yours showroom condition. Is it me or does it feel weird when you are driving it. I felt like I was being pushed over to the outside of the car, like I was leaning against the door or over the wheels instead more in a central position. One of the best races I had in my 91 VR4 stock at the time, now 400hp ATW was against a Viper. He walked away from me on the straights above 160 mph but I was able to take him in some of the turns. I passed him in some S turns and took a caution 60 mph turn at 120. I had to take the next exit because my foot wouldn't stop shaking due to adrenaline after the turn. LOL
Mine, 91 Dodge $tealth RT Twin Turbo
13G tubos, I built rebuilt the engine and most everything else in the car from the ground up over the years meaning I did 99% of the work myself including removing and installing the engine. 1 day install from the garage floor to installed and running. Cant see the ground from the top, tight fit. LOL
Dyno tuned on a 4 wheel drive Mustang 400 hp at the wheels and has over 200,000 miles on the odometer.Last edited by lovbyts; 01-09-2012 at 11:52 PM.
