MLK Jr often spoke on this very premise. That was his ultimate goal.
He also believed in order to break a sterotype its crucial to be sure not to live the stereotype.
He was , imo, a great man.

Unfortunately it seems they have taken his work and turned it 180 instead and making everything he said or did and turning it into an issue keeping the controversy alive and well.
