Had Zimmerman followed the guidelines provided by the police for neighborhood watch, this would have never happened. Zimmerman attended an orientation meeting when they set up the program for that neighborhood. The police said "don't carry guns" and "follow and observe from your home or car, do not confront".

The saddest thing is that Martin's Father counseled him about being a man of color in today's world. It's a shame that has to be part of coming of age for a young black man in today's world.

truth is this is another cassie anythony... though the media says they have all this "evidence" it doesn't amount to that much. Though the cops ****ed up some, its not all their fualt things like the girlfriend and two of the witness's never came forward and still have not talked to them because Martins family Lawyer told them not too because he didn't trust them, which actually hurts the Martins not help them...the only facts given to the police is :

Zimmerman acted as a watch for the community and had caught a few people breaking into homes. Zimmerman called police reporting he saw something. then the grey area starts, BUT, he was never told to "stand down" merely given the common warning to keep yourself out of harm.. BUT when police got there Zimmerman he had evidence of being in a fight , cut on the back of the head and bloody nose.. gave all the legally right answers about being in fear of his life and by the story he gave (which there isn't a way to disprove) he was waking back to his car after confront martin when attacked...

so until diss-proven he (which I hope they do) he is legally not a murder...

things against him.. the neighborhood watch was not registered, And if acting as a watch has to have a Class G license to carry a weapon while acting as a guard of the community. BUT, since gated it is private property that he has rights on.

If they want to get him they need to go for neg-homicide, but just like Cassie Anythony they will go for Murder 1, and will lose.. which is sad for the family.

ORLANDO - A witness we haven't heard from before paints a much different picture than we've seen so far of what happened the night 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.

The night of that shooting, police say there was a witness who saw it all.

Our sister station, FOX 35 in Orlando, has spoken to that witness.

What Sanford Police investigators have in the folder, they put together on the killing of Trayvon Martin few know about.

The file now sits in the hands of the state attorney. Now that file is just weeks away from being opened to a grand jury.

It shows more now about why police believed that night that George Zimmerman shouldn't have gone to jail.

Zimmerman called 911 and told dispatchers he was following a teen. The dispatcher told Zimmerman not to.

And from that moment to the shooting, details are few.

But one man's testimony could be key for the police.

"The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as "John," and didn't not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

"When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point," John said.

Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.

Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting

Zimm was on the phone with the cops and said Tray was coming over to his car. Then suddenly...the kid turned and walked away from the car. Zimm then told the cops...."i'm gonna follow him."

Its raining....and Zimm is pretty dumb (based on WTF he's trying to accomplish...anyone can deduce this) and the kid is hip to him following him....so Tray ducks behind some buildings. Zimm gets tired...(having lost a visual of Perp)...then heads back towards his car---when he's tackled by Tray---who proceeds to pound his arse about the face and neck area. Zimm starts screaming his fat arse off "Help me...help me" (btw...you can tell that's a man's voice from that recording)....then manages to get his gun and "pop goes the weasel"...Tray takes one in the Chest...and dies at the scene. That's when the caller phone's in...hysterical...and tells the cops."

This is pretty much the story that i read on one of the internet papers.

Typical media and typical lambs believing everything the media tells them. i turn a blind eye to most all these cases because you never truly know the facts unless you are involved. As cut and dry as it sounds you only know 1/100th of the facts unless you were there.

Is it illegal that Trevour was walking around in in a hoodie also? No of course not but if you walk around LOOKING like or dressing like a typically gangster that is who you are going to be associated it. If you walk down the block wearing a red shirt/jacket in a crips (blue) neighborhood as they going to ask you if you are a blood (red) or not? His father should have taught him to also dress appropriately or face the consequences of being judged.

… had over 45 police contacts to report suspicious incidents…

… was found by police with grass stained shirt and bleeding head from an altercation --received a broken nose from the altercation---– meaning he fired his gun as last resort…

… was legally carrying a concealed weapon, the license for which he must have had an impeccable crime-free history…

Florida has had nothing but good history with the Stand Your Ground legislation… all we heard was there would be thousands of ‘gun-nuts’ killing innocents…

Wow and it just gets crazier. Tomorrow there will be a protest rally in most major American cities, Kansas City Included to protest over Trayvon Martins Death down in Florida. But this is what I don't get. Ok African Americans and all others are killed on a daily basis in every major city and no one ever calls for protests for the local kids being killed but yet there are protests going on for a kid killed down in Florida? Why not protest in our own back yard over kids being killed right here? So the message I am getting is it's ok for kids to be killed in our own cities every day but not in Florida or we protest.
