$3 worth, but I'm skeptical they'd let me claim it.

$10 havent even checked them yet or the ones I got last week. lol I know I'm not in a winning state though.

One thing that pisses me off and I think it serves the people right is there are people who are being interviewed that didnt win obviously and they are saying they are upset, what are they going to do with their worthless tickets now or act like it's not fair. WTF are wrong with people where they think they deserve to win or they are entitled? If you cant afford to loose the money you had better not play.

You'd be surprised how many people bet money they can't afford to lose. Actually, you probably wouldn't. One of the things I hated seeing in the casinos were people going in there dropping their rent and food for their kids at the table. The lottery is the same thing. People who are broke are spending their last dollar on a pipe-dream. I mean what are the odds of winning this jackpot? 1:175million? Plus you have to take in to account you might be splitting that jackpot with somebody else, which if you win doesn't seem like a bad thing, but it screws the odds even more.

Your right, I wouldn't be surprised. Ive spent my time in Reno and Las Vegas and seen it 1st hand. Ive never understood it though. Even when I had plenty to play with it's still hard letting go and putting it on the table. With the lottery I play once in a while but Ive never been tempted to buy stupid amounts of tickets. I think $10 is the most I have ever spent on a single lottery. lol

I could not imagine feeling cheated not winning the lottery or gambling. No one took the money from me at gunpoint or forced me to buy tickets.

I remember seeing this thing on TV about the Megabucks winners. You know those progressive slots that pay out at least $10m. Almost every single winner has in a matter of two years lost every cent they won. They all tried to win it again.

But as far as the lotto goes, because of the huge payouts, it's a way better bet than keno. Still, for the most part it becomes just a tax on the poor.

Jesus, I just played Canada's National lottery last night for $8M. I most likely won so I shouldn't complain but I sure wish we had the $100M+ lotteries you guys have down there. Thats ridiculous money.

You are in BC? Just drive 30+ minutes across the boarder and you are G2G.

I saw it a few years ago and they are doing it again where they do a follow up on lottery winners. Most are bankrupt in 3+ years. As they say a fool and his money are easily parted. They say once you win the lottery your chances of being sued in the 1st year go up over 90%.

I know people like to buy BIG mansions, yachts, New exotic cars etc. I would not buy a boat/yacht unless I planned on living on it, my mansion would be under 5000 sq ft but nice and my exotic car would be used, not new. I also like the idea you need to set up a trust account, do some good investing in proven companies, not start up or high risk and disown everyone you know. No giving money to slacker family members who are hard luck cases due to self imposed circumstances. Yeah yeah I would have some fun with some mad money also.

Because you would be even more disappointed than you are now when you found out you still dont have the winning numbers like the other 1000s of people who bought them at that store that week. Then it could boil down to you bought yours just one person before or after the person who won via quick pick and then FVCK it would be frustrating to be SO close but just as far away. lol

I love some of the stories I have head of people who won on a Friday or Saturday and spend the weekend partying, buying a New car, BIG celebration only to find out Monday morning the ticket with the winning numbers was from the previous drawing so it's not a winner. hahahaha I have heard of a few cases such as this. That would suck.

I won back $10 from my $50. I guess I'll have to become a half-a-billionaire some other way.
