Lance Armstrong Stripped Of All His Titles And Banned For Life!
But he has NEVER Failed any and all drug tests. He gave back all his titles and gave up. Why? Because he is tired of fighting this and it would go on for years and he couldn't afford this witch hunt. They never could not prove him guilty so instead they were making him prove himself innocent. Your thought on this..

How can they do this without proof? America is in a slippery slope, shootings, debt crisis, now we are tearing down our heros that competed and won titles for America. what next another sad day ontop of the shooting today. does it get anyworse?

Armstrong was competing against his peers. I don't believe he did anything that was not a standard practice amongst the other competitors. If everyone is on the same playing field, regardless of how they made it to the playing field, then he was the best, most elite competitor during his reign.

Here is a radical comparison for you. Lance Armstrong accused of doping but passes all tests and still has to give all titles and trophys back. Ex President Richard Milhous Nixon is found guilty of Watergate scandal and forced to leave the White House in shame and they build him his own Nixon Library In California.

My understanding is they would be presenting their proof in the arbitration...which Armstrong has chosen to not defend himself at. Probably because they have new tests that say some of his stored blood shows doping. They also have 12 or 13 people that would testify that Armstrong acquired, used and distributed EPO and other drugs over a long period of time. They also have banned a few members of his staff (doctors and such) for being the goto guys that helped other teams dope.
I think Armstrong is giving up so all that info will not be turned into an even bigger circus.

Yeah it's truly a sad day for sports. Cheaters never prosper and now neither do the winners. and you can't blame Lance for throwing in the towel. I mean imagine what it would cost him financially to fight this for say 15 years. More than most people could ever come up with in their life times. Sometimes the system sucks. This is one of those times.

Maybe this will be the turning point where people say "this witch hunt has gone on long enough?" But yeah, even if Armstrong wins this through the legal system, it's probably going to cost him so much money that it wouldn't be worth it. It sucks that in our society, justice doesn't matter. It's how much money you have and are willing to part with that does.

yeah it's hard to say on this since none of us probably will ever know the truth as to whether he did or did not. But one could also look at it like this. Every one else who was using was tested and busted. He was tested on many occasions with the latest testing available and never showed positive. With that record alone it should be enough to quelch this. But it wont be.

They are now saying that back in 2009 his blood showed "Signs Of Manipulation" and I'm like What? So just now they are doing something about it? I wonder who he ticked off? He has cancer and has had it for a while now. That in itself alters the blood makeup of an individual. Well since they are on a witch hunt from hell, then lets be completely across the board fair and take every one as far back as blood was tested and retest all that blood from all athletes from every where, olympics included, all football players, baseball, etc. And retest all their blood and disqualify ALL of them including Arnold Schwarzenneggar for his Title for Bodybuilding and everyone else in their fields of sports. Imagine what a effed up ordeal that would be. But fair is fair in a witch hunt so they have their jobs cut out for them don't they? What is good for one is good for all now right? That won't happen because they are only interested in destroying Lance and his reputation before he dies of cancer. IMO

What would be awesome would be that all athletes everywhere refuse to participate in any field of sports one whole year out of protest of this kind of injustice. Then we would see an abrupt end as all those sponsors lose billions of money in revenue. Then you would see firings on a mass scale of those idiots involved in this BS.

It's just like the Barry Bonds case. The money they spend on $hit that no one cares about is outrageous. If you don't have proof it shouldn't cost him anything. It's innocent until proven guilty not the other way around.

IT's the logic/critical thinking that most of the world outside of the USA has... they've never been able or had the oportunity to succeed, so, those that do must have either cheated, stolen it, or don't deserve what they have accomplished..

Even if it were guilty until proven innocent, Armstrong has proven his innocence. He's passed all of the drug tests.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm glad my tax dollars are being well-spent on important things like crucifying a retired athlete with no solid proof of wrong-doing. Seriously though, if they're going to keep wasting our collective money on this sort of bullshit, I'm going to think twice about paying my taxes.

55 million on the bonds case.

Just add it to the list of stupid things our government does with our taxpayer monies. You know like 16 billion in free money to Pakistan to help them build A- Bombs to use against us and our friends who are not of sharia beliefs like their next door neighbor India. and to further the Alqueda cause and like minded terrorists. Of course it wasn't intended to be used for that but they knew it was a possibility when they gave them the money.

" The costs of the Feds’ obsessive pursuit of Bonds were estimated at $55 million in early 2009. These costs have doubtlessly grown substantially in the two years since. (One estimate is that costs of the Bonds prosecution now approach $100 million). Compare these figures to the costs of the Clinton/Lewinsky investigation, $40 million, or the total costs of the 9/11 Commission investigation, $14 million. Remember that steroids are considered only a "Schedule III" controlled substance under federal law and are legally purchased with a prescription. MLB players were never tested for steroids until 2002 – after some of the alleged steroid use that Bonds was accused of lying about before a 2003 grand jury. "

The anti doping agency has been out for him for years.
I mean the guy retired and for two years they still went after him. WTF?!
Can you say, "jealous anyone?"
Why is it so hard for them to believe he is just an amazing athlete and we should all just sit back and enjoy it. Guys like him come around once every decade or so.
