15 year old girl gets dropped by police officer

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu-sh...eature=related

I am usually one to always defend law enforcement, especially when it comes to excessive force, but this officer was so out of line. She didn't have a weapon, was only a teenager, and could have been easily detained by the officer with very little force/effort.

Maybe this will make her think twice about acting like a derelict in school, but I'd be willing to bet the officer got at least a simple assault charge on his record.

i saw that a couple weeks ago. From the article i read at the time the incident was getting investigated. So at that time the cop had nothing coming.

The girl got in a fight, alot of kids do. I know i did. Im sure you did also. Even with her actions the cop is not justified.
And for reasons like that is why alot of people hate cops. The cop isnt supposed to deal out justice and teach lessons. Thats why we have courts.
I'm sorry but some douche that past a civil service test and probably did similar things as a child has no place do things like that
If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

Yeah I know. I got into my fair share of fights growing up, and I'm sure most of us did. However, I have never brought a bottle of alcohol to my school to supply for fellow students, punched my mother in the face, or assaulted one of my teachers. Chances are, this little 15 year old will grow up to be a hoodlum, probably pop out a child at 17, get free section 8 housing, free food stamps, and cost the tax payers more money.

I am guessing this cop has had some serious issues in his past with women. I'm guessing he really despises fat chicks cause this one was kinda thick. (Messin with ya Bronzer)

I agree this was a completly unjustified use of force. There is no excuse for this behavior from our Law Enforcement Officers. There are sooo many of these type of guys in law enforcement and they give good cops everywhere a bad name because they all get lumped together.

What a fvckn punk. OMG I could not imagine body slamming some teen girl without using every other means to subdue her first. Ill bet it's not his first time being charged with excessive force.

I though the video was in Seattle at first since it seems to be common practice here. Doesnt it just make you want to body slam the cop?

Hahahahaha she got tossed! It's fvcked up but it's funny at the same time, I'm not a fan of law enforcement due to excessive force and that tough guy act that comes along with the badge.

That fat ass could've just not been able to slow himself down after he started running and ended up colliding with her, regardless it's a young girl and unnecessary.

Even if he lies and says that she claimed she had a firearm, he is still wrong and unjustified. He would of then been forced to drawl his weapon and demand her to put her hands up 3x, if she did not obey, then he would have the option to use a taser. Either way, he's wrong on so many levels.
I wasn't taught that. I was an MP, though. With that being true, that means a police officer would be allowed to use compliance techniques against a passively resistant individual. In other words, an officer would be able to use pain-compliance techniques, tasers, or OC spray on someone simply for being unresponsive. We were always taught the officer was never allowed to escalate the level of force; only the suspect could.

Ahh, that's the Liberal's version of The American Dream.

Part of me is kind of glad the cop KOed that girl like that. But, then again cops shouldn't do that crap. Even if she hit the cop as hard as she could, the cop didn't have to slam her that hard to subdue her. He was like twice her size.

I agree. I also agree with you first post...that this till isnt right. Cops , as hard as it may be at times , need to remove their personal feelings from things and just do their job as it is to be done (which imo doesnt happen enough). I say that because I can only see him doing this if in some way he was personally angry about this situation.

This is the problem so many times. Cops let their emotions dictate their actions. It is difficult to leave your emotions out entirely but that is the true diff. between a good cop and a bad one. A good cop can control their emotions and shut it down as fast as they can crank it up.

take away their protection and see how fast they can change. Cops know they can get away with most things. How often does a cop really get fired? How often do they get prosecuted for their actions? If they were actually held accountable for what they did i'm sure alot of them could control their emotions

This is not as easy as you may think. Imagine trying to contol your emotions when dealing with a father who raped his own daughter or some punk who just beat up a little old lady for $2 and lotto ticket.

Controling emotions is not a natural human response and not everyone can do it under the worste of curcumstances

Thats a little different from a teenage girl who skipped school and is causally walking away from you or in many cases people standing minding their own business and are mistaken for someone else and tackled. Happens here in Seattle quite often where cops take out innocent people without so much as an apology after.

OK got you. Yeah it's hard/impossible since we are all human and in some cases like what you mentioned as well as others it's near impossible to not be emotionally motivated at least to some point.
