With All the Gun Talk, What is Your Favorite?
I am amazed at how many of you guys are gun fanatics/lunatics, and I love it! Guns are a hobby of mine, and I own over 200. But I am mostly hearing about hunting rifles, and would like to know about the hand guns. Out of all of you guys' handguns, what is your favorite one, ifyou could only have 1. Mine would be my FN FiVe-SeVen. Hands down, my favorite gun in my collection.

My everyday carry is my Smith & Wessom M&P Shield 9mm w/night sights with a Galco King Tuk IWB holster. Of course with extra magazine in left pocket.
My truck gun is my Smith & Wesson M&P .45 FDE Full size with TFO night sights. It hangs in a bag over my passenger seat in my jeep.

I have only a couple, one is my general all purpose hunting rifle 30.06 Marlin xl7 scoped and with a bipod, my pistol is S&W m&p45. It stays in my room next to the bed. High intensity strobe light mounted on top and laser on bottom. It's set up for defense against home invasion (which I have had 2) the strobe is absolutely blinding and the laser still paints a very nice picture.
My next handgun will be a Model911A, just a great all around sidearm.

I have NEVER understood the concept of handguns for home protection! The only reason to use a handgun for self protection is when there is a need to carry. In your home there is NOTHING better than a 12G shotgun. When you are woken in the middle of the night and still trying to rub the sleep out of your eyes, do you want to rely on shot placement or would you rather throw some Buck shot with (9) 32 cal. bullets in a 6-8 inch spread, or a a 1oz piece of lead capable of nearlt removing limbs?

Easy... cutting corners with a long gun sucks. Even after putting a pistol grip and the shortest legal barrel on my 870 it's still too long for my comfort. I fully intend to send a hail of death and destruction at any creep I find, whatever I'm holding.

You dont cut corners in a home invasion..you take up a defensive position utilizing cover and concealment and let them come to you!

During the class AXx I will shot of the light and have them imagine THEY are the perp braking into someones house. Then as they walk down the dark hall way and approach a bedroom door hey hear (I then rack an 870 slide). The look on their faces is priceless. EVERYONE knows that sound. No shot's fired and bad guy running lol

I only have 2, a Ruger P85 (15+1) and a 22lr that my dad had as a kid. Love my Ruger, fits good and after a couple thousand rounds its never jammed.

Due to the layout of my house the only way out is through them. If I can just to the corner of my bedroom door almost the entire house turns into a shooting gallery for me. Anyone approaching would be forced into a lethal funnel.

C)get in front of kids and bedroom and let the mother fvcker come to you
If you rack the gun you give away your position, remember of this feller has never been in your house he has no idea where you are?? I am lucky in this sense, all 4 our bedrooms are on the same side of the house. The hallway leads you into a dead end where the T splits and all rooms are to the left and right. To a perp it's a deadly funnel, to me it's awesome. That just to say a perp evens knows what a deadly funnel is
