Hey guys been hanging around the forum for a week now and have learned a tom !!! Just wondering if there are any proud Texans? And/or someone local (Conroe/ The Woodlands) i need a workout partner!!

I've lived in various cities in California, Ohio, Kentucky, Nevada and Texas.
I always called Texas home. Dallas an Houston sucked big time. So do all the small towns like kerville, Wichita Falls, etc... But I have yet to live anywhere that compares to Austin.

nightlife sucked, nice restaurants had shitty hours. people are very fake, lots of 30k millionaires. Health care sucked. Job market not good. City unprepared for winter weather that they do get every year. Originally Posted by Brohim

Austin is hands down the nicest place in Texas it's full of money and the college life!!! I do have Indiana plates on my car and guys at gas stations tell me they "don't take kindly to northerners" I always inform them they need people down here that can read

i lived in Addison for 3 years. Yes there are rich people not saying that. But there are tons of people not even close to it and think they are. AKA the 30 thousand dollar millionaires. And that was a term i never heard until i moved to Dallas. People there say it. Originally Posted by Brohim

Try to find a gym called "Legends" in Spring (if you have not found a gym yet). Quite a few people there who train for shows.

Austin has too many liberals and men wearing dresses for my taste. (No offense sholva!!!
) I lived there for 2 years and unless you like that stuff... it gets old fast. Nothing like getting flipped off every day because you drive a hummer! haha! Its funny because those same people who were so pissed off for me owning a hummer due to its "carbon foot print" were driving prius's with a carbon foot print of 10 times the hummer! SAVE THE WORLD!! I love it
BTW, Texas has some of the hottest women in the country!!

I agree tho, I drive a large SUV and the tree huggers don't like it much. But yes... the ladies are top notch.

Really unknown, but towards the end, he was attacked and beat up by a group of guys after talking to them about drug abuse and the dangers. His usual awareness speeches... They found him knocked out and he was taken to the hospital, was there for 2 weeks and finally released. His health was declining, even before the attack... he went into a rehab center for about a year, then he needed brain surgery. weeks after surgery he died. Originally Posted by system admin

shit man. unreal. Many people dont know that Austin can be VERY dangerous down town. It blows my mind to see HOT drunk chicks walking around the streets at night by themselves. I know some cops down there and they say the random beatings are constant and severe, but the media keeps it all under wraps. Thnks for the update brotha... sad to hear that
