    I got a 45 Colt for personal protection. The reason is simple, it was willed to me by a friend before the firearm licensing went into effect so it is not tracable and also not subject to seizure.

    On the wife hate guns deal, my ex boss lived in the country and his wife felt the same way. Then one night while we were working she heard a window break and hid underneath her bed for 30 minutes while the guy rummaged through her house including her underwear drawer (comforting situation) needless to say the next day she was out at a local outdoor range learning to fire the newly aquired 12 gauge pump....
