    Don't skip shoulder day

I never knew how susceptible to injury I was making myself by skipping shoulder day. I can't believe how much more control I have over my chest day lifts just by hitting all my shoulder day lifts from different angles. In addition I do a prehab / rehab rotator cuff routine 2-3 times a week. I am seeing huge benefits from doing this. Angles of movement that previously would have made me wince in pain are no longer giving me trouble.

But really I made this thread because I'm sure theres someone else out there who was like me - they love Arms and Back/Chest but the others they get them in when they can. Don't. Be. That. Guy. Especially after I tore my rotator I told myself I don't need to be doing shoulders. This was true for a while until my rotator cuff healed through time and rehab exercises. I hope to never miss shoulder day again. If you miss one angle of the body, lets say the front delt or side delt that a front raise or side raise would hit or an arnold press, what happens is you go to pick up some dumbbells and do a chest press and there is an angle out there that you are grossly unprepared to compensate for. This is how injuries happen and I wish someone had sat me down and told me this back in the day.

If someone had told us we wouldn't have listened. We just want to jump in heavy and lift. The rotator warm ups are life savers. I can't do flat bench because of it.

Actually I had what I thought was a rotator cuff injury for over a year but it wasn't; it was an impingement. My delts were goofy and it caused pain. More or less one muscle was bigger than the other and it was pulling on my delt if that makes sense. So.. make sure you work ALL your shoulder muscles.

We all need to rest up sometimes and hit things from different angles, I adore hitting shoulders infact I like hitting everything except calfs which hurt like help but kind of nice pain

How on earth can you do chest and shoulders in the same workout? that would be impossible for me the way I train

No muscles should be skipped imo, there is always room for time off, recovery/rehab.

I only get 3 days training due to work so,
    Friday evening legs
    Saturday afternoon chest shoulders
    Sunday back arms

    Maybe I should alter it?

    I would prefer

    Leg/ shoulders
    Chest / bi
    Back / tri

Chest incorporates shoulder and tri. I get a better tri workout fresh
Same with back. You use your bi. Again I getter a better bi workout fresh.
    Personal opinion.

Agree but he's working out 3 days in a row. So tri's would be getting hit 3 days in a row and bi's the day before back. I've tried to split things so the relevant muscles aren't fatigued for the next day.

Having had total rota-tor cuff reconstruction(sucked), I do need to do the old pt exercises before I work shoulder and can only work shoulders to a certain limit. I think it's important to work everything it kinda connects everything together, u know that feeling when your upper body and lower body feels completely connected by the middle( Yes I know they literally are) its just feels awesome!

Good point. Forgot about 3 straight days. That would be a little much

I skipped this weeks full body workout. I say if you go out, go big.

I work out twice a week. Monday full upper body, Thursday full lower body. In and out of the gym in 30-45 min. What's all this 3, 4, 5 day crap about?

One of trainers is trying to talk me into trying full body 4 days in row with two days rest. From largest muscle to smallest everyday. Has anyone ever tried this?

You are probably the only person I know who does chest on Monday. Lol

Why is Monday a universal chest day for most?

    .

Truth be told one of the reasons I decided to get the rotator fixed is bc I read an article in a girly mag that men dig chic with defined shoulders. Shoulders beat out back.

My clothes look better with defined shoulders. I look better with defied shoulders.

You must have been part of the survey group. Lol.

Well I got the calves. Need to work on booty. Squat squat squat.

I was looking at fitness model shoulder and back vid bc of this thread. Now is a good time to get my workout routine figured out. I have about 4 months. Plenty of time.

This I think. As long as you can allay Marcus' concerns about shoulders as well as legs in one session.

Or just do calves and butt
