Don't skip shoulder day
I never knew how susceptible to injury I was making myself by skipping shoulder day. I can't believe how much more control I have over my chest day lifts just by hitting all my shoulder day lifts from different angles. In addition I do a prehab / rehab rotator cuff routine 2-3 times a week. I am seeing huge benefits from doing this. Angles of movement that previously would have made me wince in pain are no longer giving me trouble.
But really I made this thread because I'm sure theres someone else out there who was like me - they love Arms and Back/Chest but the others they get them in when they can. Don't. Be. That. Guy. Especially after I tore my rotator I told myself I don't need to be doing shoulders. This was true for a while until my rotator cuff healed through time and rehab exercises. I hope to never miss shoulder day again. If you miss one angle of the body, lets say the front delt or side delt that a front raise or side raise would hit or an arnold press, what happens is you go to pick up some dumbbells and do a chest press and there is an angle out there that you are grossly unprepared to compensate for. This is how injuries happen and I wish someone had sat me down and told me this back in the day.

If someone had told us we wouldn't have listened. We just want to jump in heavy and lift. The rotator warm ups are life savers. I can't do flat bench because of it.

I got rotator cuff tendonitis and killed my training. I had to take off for like 5 months. I dont mess around now with my shoulders. Always doing the exercises they showed me in pt for rotator cuff

Actually I had what I thought was a rotator cuff injury for over a year but it wasn't; it was an impingement. My delts were goofy and it caused pain. More or less one muscle was bigger than the other and it was pulling on my delt if that makes sense. So.. make sure you work ALL your shoulder muscles.

We all need to rest up sometimes and hit things from different angles, I adore hitting shoulders infact I like hitting everything except calfs which hurt like help but kind of nice pain

No muscles should be skipped imo, there is always room for time off, recovery/rehab.

Having had total rota-tor cuff reconstruction(sucked), I do need to do the old pt exercises before I work shoulder and can only work shoulders to a certain limit. I think it's important to work everything it kinda connects everything together, u know that feeling when your upper body and lower body feels completely connected by the middle( Yes I know they literally are) its just feels awesome!

I skipped this weeks full body workout. I say if you go out, go big.

I work out twice a week. Monday full upper body, Thursday full lower body. In and out of the gym in 30-45 min. What's all this 3, 4, 5 day crap about?

One of trainers is trying to talk me into trying full body 4 days in row with two days rest. From largest muscle to smallest everyday. Has anyone ever tried this?

Yea this is coming from a trainer....guy has nothing to do all day except workout, real ppl, with real jobs don't have the time or energy for something like that..........result would end in burnt the **** out.

Total legs (calves 1st if weak point)
Back-shoulders
Above is exactly what I do but with a day off in between each.....

If I could have kids, I would have changed this nursery song
Quads shoulders calves and abs, calves and abs.
Quads shoulders calves and abs, calves and abs.
Bis and tris and back and gluts
Quads shoulders calves and abs. Calves and abs.
