Hahaha. My rent and apt bills is less than 1000 a month. I don't make anywhere close to 120k, but I live comfortably.

I keep telling my gf we should look at the area. A 500k house down there would cost 2 million up here and then the property taxes would be like 40k a year.
My bank just got licensed in GA. So I could take my NYC salary and we are waiting to hear if she could work from home one day too. I figure I can still go to a Giants and Knicks game every once in awhile. The only thing is the beach but I can get over that.

More speed for one. And a little more space is nice too

It is nice, but I really hate the newer cars... all that fly by wire shit takes the fun away. I drove the new M5 and while it was an amazing machine, I would not give up my E39, I love how raw it is

Thanks...nice ass on your vette in your avy!
Yeah my front lip is scraped and beat to hell...in fact, the car is so low that I call it my "roadkill scraper"! lol I knew the lip would get beat to hell so I bought it used for cheap with a few scrapes already on it. I plan on replacing it in the near future now that my M is a garage queen (only drive it about once a week on sunny days). Cosmetically I've done about all I want to do to it except I do want a cf csl bootlid (trunk). Under the hood so far I have a modified OEM air intake, headers (with no cats), and full exhaust. I really need a tune to tie all of these mods together, but I'm kinda waiting and trying to save up enough money to supercharge her. If you haven't done any suspension upgrades to your car, you owe it to yourself. The high dollar racing coilovers I put on her put a smile on my face with every corner I take...the car is so much fun to drive now!

Been considering getting rid of my Maro and getting one of these.
But, now they seem a bit retro. The new Beam's got some good styling and make these look a bit outdated.
Still a sweet car, specially for how much they cost now.

It's all about preference bro! To me the E46 M3 is the perfect M3 when you compare the weight to power ratio...not to take anything away from the E92 M3 because I like the looks as well but prefer my E46. Granted the E92 M3 has more hp but it also weighs more and isn't as nibble. Supercharged E46 M3 is a beast! I can afford a newer M3 but there's just something about my E46 M3. It's a car that you don't see everyday and gets looks everytime I drive it. As far as price, you're right they can be had for quite cheap now, but when I bought mine 6 years ago they were still pretty pricey. BTW, thanks for the compliment!

For some reason my Reply with quote isnt working..............BUT
TO the guy who said he wouldnt take the new F10 Twin turbo V8 M5 over his E39 M5 is just silly. The guy down the road from me has one and the thing is ridiculous.
Also the only reason you buy an E36 or E46 nowadays is to turbo it.............other then that both of those M3 models were over produced. Now the E30 M3 is a different story. All in all the E46 M3 was one of the best handling M3's built, but they missed the ball with over tunning that V6 and not running some forced induction like Audi did with the b5 s4.........

The only company that offers a turbo kit for the E46 M3 is Horsepower Freaks, and as of lately their kits have had a reputation of catching fire. I'm not shelling out 20K for a turbo kit just to watch my ride go up in flames! lol A conservative methanol injected supercharger kit for this cars will make around 450hp to the wheels...that's plenty for me in a car that weights ~3400 lbs. Also, Audi's interior and exterior look good on most of their cars but their engines lack big time. Compare the NA E46 M3 inline 6 that makes 333hp compared to Audi's new S5 vert with an supercharged v-6 that only makes 333hp...fail!
Yes, preach on brotha!
Now that would be an awesome project! Build it and I'll ride up to NY to take a ride

I really like BMW but I just don't want those payments.

They aren't as bad as you think. I got mine for 21k. 58k miles, 6 speed convertible. Clean carfax, no wrecks. All original paint. Dealer serviced at all intervals with receipts...
But servicing it is expensive. Oil changes are over $100 even if you do it yourself. Brake pads and rotors are over 1000.

Not true. Maximum PSI has a turbo kit for the e46 m3 that came out.
If you havent heard of Maximum PSI then you should read up, probably the best company out there for work on the e36 and e46.
They are based out of NJ. Their stage one is around 500whp on pump. Stage 2 is 700whp. Fuel system and boost controller. But I think the stage 2 numbers were on MS109 initially. Still talking stock block too.
Mike Radowski also has the fastest M3 in the world fyi, he is the owner and does all the work, good guy.
