I needed that advice too! Thanks. I deadlift and squat, but use low weight to keep from further injuring my back. I want to do the movements, so that's why I do them.
    I squat around 225x8 and dead 300x1-3

I would but i barely avoided having my l5s1 fused. For 2 years i could barley walk. This is not a sob story looking for any sympathy cause i somehow kept going to the gym stayed in shape and recovered. So a huge success. The dr said i only had 2mm of space left in between the 2 vertebrata. Hopefully the darn thing fused itself. I just had to find ways to work around the injury with out loading my spine

You just described me only do very light on both.

I only have KG weights will convert later.

Deads: 160kg for max rep for reps 140-150 depending on the week x 6 final set.
Squats: is only 130 for reps don't like pushing anymore x6 final set
Bench: is 130 for reps x 6 final set

    Bench: 145kg (319lbs)
    Deadlift: 190kg (418lbs)
    Squat: 160kg (350lbs)

    Total: 495kg (1089lbs)

I'm still progressing, I'm happy with my bench. My dead/squat need more work.

Well, I was much, much lighter. I'm increasing now. I has scoliosis and a degenerative disease in a few discs. I started only with the bar and worked up over the last couple of years. It has taken time, but I plan to keep improving. But I wont risk injury.

We have all been there, Rome wasn't built in a day and it's amazing once you just build a decent base how quickly you can progress again, as you probably know man. Keep the head up.

I just started hearing about it, but apparently it helps you absorb it better. Haven't tried it myself, but definitely will next time

Hit legs 2-3x a week. At your lifts, your legs can take a lot of abuse and recover quickly

Not sure about that but yes grapefruit juice does made/help you absorb things better. If you take cholesterol medication read the warning on it, it says do NOT take with grapefruit juice. I'm sure there are other meds as well since it's possible you will absorb to much to quickly and an OD.
For example, a statin used to lower cholesterol called simvastatin created a 330 percent higher systemic concentration of the drug when the patient drank a 200-mL glass of grapefruit juice once a day for three days compared to when they just drank water.
"Taking one tablet with a glass of grapefruit juice is like taking 20 tablets with a glass of water,"

    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-204_162-...y-study-warns/

There are more than 85 drugs in total that cause some kind of reaction when taken with grapefruit juice, according to the study.

Sounds good and I have been considering it. But, me and my liver go way back. So, I still have this crazy attachment to it.

Still feeling weak. . . . Shit, when I started about 8 years ago I barely lifted half of what I can now.

I am nowhere near alot of you but....
    Bench-295x2reps(last monday @195lbs)
    Deadlift-365x6(@170lbs)
Squats-415x6 ( dont count tho smith mach and maybe 3/4reps @170-180lbs) 315x6 in squat rack going low(190lbs)

I rarely try to go heavy on deads & squats. I try for the 12-15 rep ranges with lighter weight.
