Most white people don't have the same emotional reaction as most black people would with these names. By that I'm not saying it's not legit if one does though. I could be wrong here but I think maybe it's because of the history in which these words started. Calling a black person what they are called brings up much more of an realistic inappropriate idea of a lower form of human because of there connection with slavery and hundreds of years of mistreatment.
