New car
so the last time i bought a car it was specifically for reliability. it was a 2012 honda accord. well im bored with it and ive found what i think is gonna be my next car. it is still pretty conservative IMO as far as pricing goes (low 30's) plus highway fuel economy is mid 20's so it meets both criteria im looking for PLUS i really like the way it looks and it has impressive stats for the money. it is the 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Track Edition.
below is a pic of pretty much the exact set-up i intend to get. the only difference may be the the wheels and i am thinking bright blue metallic for the calipers but thats not set in stone. anyone else ever had one/has one?
and yes i know there are a bunch of other bad ass cars i could get but id be venturing into the 40's or 50's and im not prepared to spend that much yet..
it does have 348HP RWD which i find very attractive. also 0-60 in like 5.2secs..

Are you particular to the fact that it has to be new? Or would a nice clean used be just as ok?

2 door is actually preferable.
hardy har har..
meh.. im a new car kind of guy. sure i could prob save a few grand, but i dont like the idea of knowing im buying something someone else has played with first, and doesnt want anymore! brand new in the box is much better!

I'm glad to hear your side. The car market needs new cars to be bought in order to have used cars for people like me. I'm the other way, if I can get a better car for the same money then why not. Back to the car, have you looked at the Scion FRS/Subaru BRZ? Seems quite nice and in your range.

its sharp and attractive most definitely . But I wouldn't invest in a Hyundai, especially 40 or 50k.

Im all for rwd v8's mate but come on man. Hyundai is not not known for performance. What they do best is make lifeless boring cars that do what there suppose to do. You should import a gt

thanks for correcting me I misread the post, the Camaro and mustang are low 30's now also. I had the new mustang 5.0 loaded with ALL the options for 36k. I traded the car in a year later, it did not live up to hype. I thought I had researched enough but I didn't. Good luck with the purchase.

Hey 405, good luck if you get it. Very nice, cool car. Financially, no new car in my future. However I am just OCD about my primo Volvo. It's not fast, put powerful enough with the straight 6 cyl. Very impressive handling and luxury.
Hope you get what you showed us, looks awesome. ...crazy mike

Car looks bad ass but i am more of a drive til' it's scrap kind of guy. I have an 03 S-10 with 245,000 miles on it and going strong. I love not owing money or shelling out money for something I know I won't take care of in the first place.

Yeh im with u, but budget wise right now this makes more sense for me. 10k dow puts the payment at $400 which is no biggie. Id prefer not to have to come off 20k and/or have $800 payment.. I could have the hyundai anda abrand new harley breakout for the same money. Much better IMO!

335i fan here, 420+ bhp is easily gotten and the straight 6 engine once serviced right is a proper strong lump. I've seen them over here with 150+k miles on them.
The Hyundai is nice friend has one in sweden with basic mods and he seems happy with it, his other car is an Evo 4 with a 6 engine in it running 450bhp.
