Curious to know what happened with Mohammad Gulab, the man who saved Marcus Luttrell. I know he was brought to the US but there was also talk of NOT granting him asylum. I never heard what came about with all that.
Anyway, my favorite thing about the immigration issue(s) - in Europe they are deporting people left and right. Well, everyone here always complains that we need to be more like Europe. But if we did anything even close to what they're doing in Europe right now all hell would break loose from the progressive idiot machine.

Most of the people that need to be deported are citizens.
We just need to get rid of government funded "charities"

There use to be a country called rhodesia. And they had a criteria for voters. Basically you had to pay a certain amount of tax and have a certain amount of assets(regardless of what colour you where) to vote on the "A" roll which had the most seats or else you would be on the "B" roll which had only a few seats. The point was that not everyone should have the right to vote. Because why should people who don't work and are uneducated have the right to make decisions that effect everybody? And the criteria was not extreme basically everyone with a job could vote

The poor 100% teach their offspring how to live the same way their parents have. That is their trade. I see it everyday building housing for them. When I see the meals on wheels truck show up to the low income elderly housing about 30 minutes after their middle aged children and kids show up to visit. Endnote - They all receive free meals. That's just one little trick I personally have noticed
There is always going to be a working class. The problem is, the government is trying to get the non working freeloaders raised up to the same place that those who work their asses off for 40+ hours a week are. Free housing, free food and petty crimes ignored. Add it all up and it probably comes out to $35k a year. Plus they don't pay all the expense we do for driving to work and paying for children.
It existed before Obama. Can't blame it all on him. We just need a president with the balls to declare a true welfare reform.

My mistake. What I really meant was poor people that manipulate the system to benefit. Not all poor.
Everyone needs a hand up at some time in their life. The true good natured people that are poor do not like a handout. That's why I said hand up. Sorry if offense was taken.

the Border Force Act came into affect yesterday. Its illegal if you work in a detention centre and you "blow the whistle" on how illegals are treated to the media. The bleeding hearts reckon detaining them and physically interrogating them is against human rights. most people tho support this law. Just get the job done Keep my borders safe but don't tell me how you do it is the general feeling. I wish the usa would adopt tough measures.

Sometimes in the past i have made jokes and wise cracks about you united states of americans and your open border policy. But i really do sympathize with you on the national level. The biggest issue in my country at the moment is national security. And it all comes back to keeping the borders protected. they want to come and exploit us for there own personal gain. They come with out documents. We don't know who they are, where they came from, what there intentions are, what diseases they might have. Are they conducting some form of espionage? All these things are unknown until you interrogate the subject. When it comes to illegals as far as i see it they are trespassing on land that does not below to them and should not be subject to rights given to citizens. Australia's border policy is one step below north korea and that is the way i like it.
I see you guys post comments about how your home is a fortress and you will defend it against a intruder. A person crossing your border is intruding on all of you.

I grew up poor and I do remember a brief time we were on food stamps, my parents were very ashamed about it.
That was a good lesson in itself.
But I do see your point.
Welfare should be extremely limited, timeframe and qualifications.
You can't let people get comfortable with the handouts or they will rectify their situation.
Me and my siblings are all very hard workers and self employed, never had a hand out and dont want one.
Part of me still hopes we can turn the ship around, but another part of me says bankrupt this mf'er, its time for a reset.
The reset scares me though because I see the majority of people being so dumb, if we do reset what are we going to get?

I believe that sooner or later something major has got to change, I have no idea how. It sure doesn't seem realistic to think things can continue in the same direction they have been for another 100 years. I look at how bad people's mentality about everything from simple communication with others all the way up to how disposeable we have made everything in our lives including cars and houses.
Honestly, I'm ready to break out the bow and go Book of Eli. I know a lot of people I love will die and that sucks but I think that's where we are heading. I know, conspiracy theory.

Things cant continue the same way for even a couple more years or we will be in the same boat as Greece.

Well I'm reading the posts and every1 here has their own right to believe in their own opinions. However a person views of the battle flag, it's not seen the same way across the board. I do not agree with the flag flying over governmental grounds, but if one chooses to fly the flag over their own property, then so be it. What it may represent compared to how it is portrayed, well there will always be a difference of opinion in reference to its disposition....doesn't make it right.....doesn't make it wrong....it makes it just what it is....(if u can understand my concept).

they are hindering his speech he didn't say dumb shit, he said illegals are coming in this country and breaking the law and some people didn't like that. NY basically said stop saying that or we wont let you build buildings that we otherwise would approve, just for speaking his mind.

I have no idea if Trump is the guy to be president or not and that's not my point with this comment. But all the other candidates that walk the fine line, guard their tongues and play the game....how's that been working for us for the past 15-20yrs? There are many things that are politically incorrect to say but that doesn't make them any less true, and in this case, the truth is the amount of criminals flooding over the border is a massive problem. Does saying that imply all Mexicans are criminals? Of course not, and it can only be taken that way if the individual wants to take it that way because they don't like the person speaking.
How this election will more than likely pan out - voters will be swayed by whoever gives them the strongest emotional high. From those candidates they'll decide who seems the most "Presidential" whatever the crap that means. And then we'll be left with two, and whoever can make the biggest promises that are absolutely 100% impossible for them to fulfill and whoever can rile emotion up one extra notch, that will be your next president. And the most pathetic thing about it - that's exactly how it will go, and that in itself is pathetic.

And it should be mandatory that a nations head of state have at least the minimum period of military service under his belt. Its hard to respect a would be leader who has lived nothing but a sheltered life.like the old days where the king led from the front.

Yeah there are a lot of things about him I like also one being not afraid to say what he thinks except when he was under the gun after the NY disaster how he sucked up to Obama but that may have been because he was desperate and was hoping that he would actually come through with his promises and help? Maybe him getting stabbed in the back personally by Obama has hardened his resolve and he will be less likely to bend next time.
I LOVED George Carlin and he always spoke the truth.

The system was good, we've simply perverted it over the years. In all democracies that have ever existed, those elected still ruled over the people. They were or are elected, but they still hold power over the individual and decide what is and isn't in the end. The U.S. created a system where the individual ruled its government and government only reached out its arm when the liberty of the individual was threatened. Over time this role has slowly reversed and now our government reaches out its arm and decides what liberty an individual may hold.
The answer, revert to how it was done before. Its proven to be effective and created the strongest country that's ever existed. However, I'm afraid it may be too late to revert as most people have become drones and slowly accepted what we've become.
