I used hgh for around 15yrs, this wasn't 15 yrs straight in one long run it was on and off hgh for 15 yrs. The most time ive been on hgh was 3 yrs straight going from 4 ius to 15 ius when I was doing heavy short burst cycles one and off within that 3 yrs which lasted anything from 30days to 6 weeks.

A lot is down to genetics and how your muscles are formed, some guys have stringy muscles and tend to disappear when they turn sideways, some guys have bigger muscle bellies what stick out shorter insertions and are naturally thick set. If your thick set with high muscle bellies to start with or after a few yrs training naturally you know your going to look very impressive because your genetic potential. To create thickness is hard but can be achieved in my opinion by certain ways of training but if you haven't got the bulging muscle bellies what some have naturally its going to take a hell of a lot to get them. You can create an illusion very easy I remember working on my thickness because in parts I was thinner so I would concentrate on thickness I did this with my back for over 2 year straight which put so much thickness on my back it went wider aswell but at the same time increased my shoulder thickness and arms. The whole package got bigger and thicker just by doing this. I have full muscle bellies naturally which is a genetic thing but I was told when I was younger by a trainer friend who was working with the pro's to concentrate on thickness that's all I need to do and I will look twice as big because of my muscle bellies are full and peak well, those who haven't are up against a few obstacles and need to adjust there training depending on what look they want, remember its an illusion I train my back for thickness and transform my whole look. My back was small in the early days and wasn't thick so i was told to attack this and this would create an illusion of thickness all over my body and with the muscle bellies what i had would make things look freaky.
The picture below isn't at my peak its only a few years ago actually and I wasn't doing a lat spread, I had my shoulder hunched over because I just had the tattoo and my artist wanted to take a picture of the tatt, I wasn't posing or spreading my lats and I was hunched over but you can see the thickness still after all these years, and i was bigger when i was cycling but in this picture i was on just my trt and cycling once per year.

That's quite a huge back for my standards. My ideal size would be far more modest.
What I've got good by genetics is strength, from father's side, but I also got poor mechanics/leverage points when it comes to weight training.
I know this sounds contradictory but I believe it's all about how we use our bodies. I could (well not anymore) bend a steel wrench with my hands (at one point I injured my wrist lol) but I never managed to push more than 65Kg at the bench. That was three yrs ago after a round year of training, before low t and hypothyroidism caught up with my health. Stats at the time were 150kg dead, 100 squats and 65 Kg body weight at 15% bf.
Body composition is almost the same now, though my quads definitely wasted away during the low t period.
I have been off training for quite a while but in the last few months I've gained enough motivation to get it restarted, in the spite of still feeling miserable from disrupted hormones and therapies not working, and I owe the board and its members a special thanks for get it going. It's really hard because the muscles aren't really working properly but I feel like making some progress, and I hopefully I will get back to proper training (and life...) soon.
My main goals are still strength, endurance and overall fitness, but I do want to loose that thin, boyish appearance, and add some size to bring with me into the old age

That's great if your naturally strong, when I first started training I had some serious strength for a small guy and went straight into powerlifting for around 3 yrs which build a huge foundation for me when I started bodybuilding. I truly believe one thing with any kind of goal you are trying to achieve is being consistant with everything you do, its very easy to go backwards yet so hard to move forward. The mind set is also something what I preach all the time its got me through most things in my life in and out of the gym With age muscle maturity develops so don't worry I am sure the more you train things will move forward for you
