Yes, I hold no middle ground on social issues today. Middle ground always leads to progression towards the general degeneration of society and civilization. It is a downward spiral and there is no going back. The only way things change is war that puts the masses back into the dark ages. Two wildly successful societies show a huge contrast in cultural influence on economic prosperity. South Korea and Japan are both shining examples of how western ideals can work. Hong Kong as well, at one point in time Hong Kong was like the 10th biggest economy in the world while the British administer it.

zimbabwe Is a prime example that africans struggle with modern society. Back when it was rhodesia and the europeans where in charge. it was the richest country in africa. 1$ rhodesian dollar would buy 1.5$ USD. The country functioned very well. I would advice you all (especially those that claim the "European" or western way of thinking is why the west has come so far) to read the book:
"Why the West rules - for now", by Ian Morris.
He is an accomplished historian and doesn't base his books on feelings one way or the other, but facts. One might disagree with the variables he has chosen to represent how advanced a society is, but overall I think most will agree.
His point about that the main driving force of all humans is: "laziness, greed and fear" could also be disputed, but it works as an explanation to why things have evolved as they did.
The book should also give one a clear view of whether the the West rules because of any special way of thinking, or by geographic reasons (crops, access to the sea faring routes, resources, etc, or by other reasons why the West "rules" at this point, and whether it will continue to do so.

For those interested in the nature of productive and non productive warfare,
I'd suggest his book "War - what is it good for?".
It might just give you a glimpse into what circumstances are needed before war actually benefits a society (and may rob another), and when war just causes everybody to lose.
