That's cheap. Really is. Some of the small ones can go for 4K plus. Think hard though, as great as they are you don't seem to be home much (or you don't answer anymore when I knock) due to work and it's tough on an animal to be left alone all day.

But regarding small breeds like that, I'll never have a large dog again after having this micro tea cup yorkie. Goes on a pee pad, no constant walking it, etc which makes it quite convenient. Kinda of like a cat in a way. You can leave it for a night or so if you really need to. All in all a wonderful pet. Just think about it.

My dog is my life, if I didn’t have her I doubt I would get out of bed. Considering she has been my alarm clock for the last 5 years. I need to get her certified as a therapy dog so I can take her to work.

that's awesome Girly! as kel asked, Male or Female? or transgender? haha!

i had a big dog growing up and once i went to college, my parents replaced me with a yorkie. i was able to train him and he was probably more obedient than my golden retriever growing up.

i may get in touch with you shortly, need some interior design tips!

can't wait to see some pics when you get it

Girly don’t feel too bad... the English bulldog I got for my girlfriend cost me $5000. But that’s what she wanted. She didn’t just want a dog, she wanted that dog.... life’s too short to settle!

Designer blend breed.... 20 years ago we'd call that a mut, and given away free.

Yes ma'am, it can be very messy when a female is in heat. The "pants" they make for female dogs that use napkins are an invitation to pyometra, IMHO. However, if you have a female and she is spayed, the heat issue is moot.
Also, if you do get 2 (which may not fit your schedule?), get two of the same sex. With a female in heat and a male in the house, you can forget sleep until the cycle is over.

Hmmmm. Seems barbaric to mutilate genitalia. Same sex or just one seems the best route.

Until work schedule calms down, I agree it's not fair to leave pet for better part of the day. A tiny dog doesn't require exercise like a large dog which is why I'm leaning towards tiny dog.

I'm gonna have to think about this pet purchase some more.....

Kudos and 2 thumbs up for not making a "snap" decision, GGR. I will say that unless you plan to breed your pet, it is usually healthier for the pet to spay or neuter.

It's recommended especially with small breeds that are companion animals that you leave a radio with talk radio station on, it will make them think they are not alone.

That basically goes for any size companion dog, but I would still be hesitant to buy if I had a hectic work schedule. I would certainly institute crate training and then allow more freedom as the pup matured. The little guys can often hurt themselves easier than the larger ones.
