    2020 weight loss competition

    Trying to get individuals for the most improved competition, it appeared that there was interest in a weight loss competition. Anyone interested, please reply here.

    Also this should be just a scale thing and not so much what you look like, so no body pics should be required except for on the scale or how ever we figure it out to make things legit, but no posing or anything like that? But not a body composition, just if your looking to lose some lbs lets join.

    Pretty much what I am thinking for myself as well.
    Yeah, I still have plenty of squish to get rid of, but I’m going to hold where I’m at for the remainder of this cycle.
    Might do the most improved on just a low dose cruise of some things and see what happens.

    I say that this time around should just be weight loss since that’s where the most interest lies...maybe a most improved for winter or something later...I don’t want to have another comp going at the same time as it will detract from it Imho...

    Also GUEST that just read and havent joined the forum now is the time, ease yourself in with one of our competitions. You can do just a weight lose or even most improved. No need to take anything, Im actually dropping my trt down to 80mgs per week. Nothing else, just diet and cardio.

    If you had started this about 3 months ago I bet I’d be in the running for sure! I think I’ve lost almost 20lbs from my highest weight last year sometime.

    Hello again mofos. Missed you Guys...had a real rough stretch since around Xmas last year...but I’m getting back on the horse and taking charge again.

    Good to see you back brother!! It’s been rough for a lot of us. Feel free to commiserate and get whatever support you can from the board...it’s why we’re here!

    As far as weight loss, recomp, bulk....whatever it is. I don’t see why we can’t encourage and push each other regardless of the goal and post pics and log it to garner praise and support from each other. If we want to compartmentalize into separate buckets, I’m ok with that too!

    For me personally, I want to add 10 pounds of muscle, stay lean and just get back to a routine that I’m accountable to.

    You're awesome. Love the attitude! I know we could all use encouragement and support with the crazy world we are living in right now. I ended up bulking too far and got chubby now trying to cut it off over 12 weeks. 3 weeks in now and have starting and progress pics at 2 weeks. I was planning on taking pics every 2 weeks. If anyone is interested in following I'll post it.

    The competition will begin 17 August and go for 12 weeks.
    Prior to the start, we will provide a secret word that will be printed and placed on the scale. Same thing at the end.
    This will be based on a lot of trust. The main thing is we lose weight and have fun doing it.
    I will not be entering. The Dr has me very low on T4 and I am gaining weight. I am going in the wrong direction. LOL
    I already told him how much T4 I need, but He probably thinks I’m ignorant.

    Funny story, I just came home from the doctors last night and told my wife I weighed 202lbs with shorts, uw and a shirt, I told her I will be 190 in a few months. She says I listened to you non-stop for years talking about how you were going to get big and weigh 200+lbs.........funny how with time things change

    Thanks guys for the warm welcome! It sincerely means a lot. I honestly figured that no one noticed I was even gone lol. Feels good to see you bunch of Kinda buff roid heads around here again lmao!

    I am going to be starting a thread to explain a little about what I went through this last 8 or so months. I’d like to highlight drug addiction as well as mental health awareness. Two things that are very personal for many reasons.

    I would like to morph that into an accountability/encouragement/transformation/cycle log. I have a lot to get off my chest and even if no one read it just getting it out is a good thing.

    Anyways I’m just about ready to order me some gear and shoot something other than hard drugs into my body for a change lol...sad but lol.

    I will be following this comp too btw. Sorry to hijack ...back to talking about getting skinny or fat or whatever this comp is about this time! Hahhahaa

    What really gets me is fat people - I have to work on keeping weight on, not dropping it. And, rn I'm only able to pick up 10 Lb weights & walk

    Right now, I am one of those that struggles from dropping it. Every now and then I will essentially stop eating to make sure that I can still control weight loss. I can, but I can’t dial in where I need to be at with my T4 levels.

    Ehh, I’ve been both. It’s a complicated ass system.
    The main issue with being a fat shit is that it turns into a self-perpetuating problem.
    The brain is a damned dirty liar, and with the hormonal feedback from adipose tissue, can fully convince you that you are starving, need to move less and shove some food in your face as soon as body fat dips as little as 2-3%, which is nothing on someone who’s 30+%.
    Going from 265 to sub-230 was by far the hardest part for me. Once systemic shit actually starts to normalize, it gets easier. Then, once you get to the lower end and hold it for a while, going back up becomes the hard part.
    The drive for homeostasis is a motherfucker, and is why the best defense against being fat, is to never get there to begin with. This is becoming more and more of a problem, and really started with my generation. I was a rarity, but was morbidly obese before age 11. Look around and you’ll see, that’s not such a rarity anymore.
