You do know this is what you have to look forward to.

Basically had cold symptoms for a bit and a sore injection spot. All gone a few days after and back to normal.
Second shot should happen in a couple weeks. They're supposed to contact me to set that up, but I haven't heard from them yet.

Got my second shot this morning. Already starting to feel kinda crappy. Injection site was fine for a few hours at least, now very sore.

I hope you’re doing well Ernst!
We just watched the first episode of a Stanley Tucci series in which he tours all of the different regions of Italy, tasting food. Sick!
Hoping business is picking up for you.

48 hours since the shot. Side effects all gone, back to feeling normal.
Pretty much the same as the first shot. Cold symptoms, sore injection site, some joint/muscle soreness, chills...
Now I'm done. About 25% of the folks in my county have been vaccinated, looking at the numbers. That's a bit skewed though, because they also vaccinated some people who work in the county but don't actually live here.
And I still have to wear stupid masks everywhere... gotta wait for the 'herd' to catch up.

Just got my first round of the moderna, feel fine. They warned of installation site pain...I giggled to myself.
Rolled up and hung my arm out the window, pretty wild.
Next one is a little less than a month away. The second one is what I keep hearing is giving everyone fits. Read an article about cancellation rates were soaring because of all of this fear online.
Trying not to think about it...is what it is.
Felt odd because I don’t look “immuno suppressed” and all of the other people in the drive up line were super old. Oh well, I was just following doctors orders and with as much flying as I do, it’s a smart move.
Glad you’re ok Ernst and hoping things are picking up for you!

Felt fine, not even a hint of feeling shitty. My wife complained of a headache for a couple of days, but that could be attributed to a myriad of other things (like our two feral children).
Dose #2 is set for 3/8 that’s the one that seems to be giving everyone fits. Fingers crossed

The second shot was rough for my sister-in-law. She had a pretty strong reaction to it, but I'm not sure that it is typical for everyone.
She works in healthcare (she's an RN) and from what she's hearing from others that are on round #2 for the vaccine is that it happens but isn't necessarily a common experience. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

She ran a 101°+ fever for about 18 hours and said she felt like her joints were going to explode, then the symptoms gradually abated, followed by ~ 24 hours of fatigue. On the 3rd day she felt almost normal.
I'm just curious if they have compared blood types of the people with symptoms vs. people with no symptoms. I think she's type A+.
LOL, no science behind it on my part, just know certain blood types are less resistant to SARS-CoV-2.There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I have had both. No reaction..... except calling the person injecting inexperienced. I could have done a better job. I am vascular..: how the hell did they get blood from the injection spot?
I inject daily and do not have that issue.

Got my first vaccine and no problem. My second shot was a differnet story. 101 fever, chills, muscle ache, and headache for about 36 hours. I got the Moderno

Wife got her first round a couple days ago. Over 100 fever, extremely tired, shitty mood i mean she is alot sicker than when she actually had the virus exactly 6 months ago. Still has the second round which is far worse. Fuck that shit I will not be participating in receiving the “vaccine”

They were saying in a recent article that a strong reaction to the vaccine is a sign that you may have already had it. It’s good that she got it because now she’ll be immune to more variants hopefully.
Me and my girl had it a couple of weeks ago (moderna) and didn’t get any reaction.

Moderna #2 is in the books, let’s see what happens. Bummer about the J&J news, it’s going to throw off the momentum.

My girl got her 2nd moderna shot yesterday. Drove 2 hours again. She called off today cause she was feeling achy, but I'm feeling achy too, so not sure if it's from the vaccine or from the ride.

Lol, Samson. Actually my head feels like that. Chills, body aches and headaches stated around 12 hours after. Both my wife and I got hit with the symptoms about the same time, but are 75% better this morning.
Dude, I hit my back, traps, biceps on Wednesday & they are tight and sore . The vaccine must have multiplied the DOMS.

Got my second Pfizer shot about 24 hours ago.
Worked out 7 hours afterwards.
Last night and today a very slight hot feeling in my head but no fever.
Will update this if it gets worse.

So all y'all got the vaccine?
I'm curious,
Is it required where any of you live or work?
Do people still wear masks where you live? Are they required? Does your areas still have that "social distancing" mandate enforced?
What made you decide to take the vaccine?
Where I live, aside from the occasional boutique coffee shop or hipster clothing store, nobody requires masks anymore. There are still a few people walking around wearing them though. I'd say maybe 1 in 4 or so. I imagine those are folks with compromised immune systems, but I don't really know.
The plant i work in had alot of people, maybe 50 or so out of 300 come down with covid, I was one of them. Our diabetic 70 year old store room clerk unfortunately died of it. But fortunately nobody else did. I was lucky I guess. Very mild symptoms. Low grade fever for a few days, no appetite, lost my sense of taste. Otherwise made it just fine. I've been sicker than that for sure personally.
Nobody at work outside the boardrooms and middle manager cubicles wear masks anymore. Because it's not mandatory
College campuses are the only thing still shit down, and most people here believe it's political not for science or safety.
I don't know anybody personally that's been vaccinated except the people who work in the doctors office. Nobody else. My Dr said that since I had covid, and nobody could say whether or not the vaccine lasted any longer than post viral immunity, he wouldn't recommend it to me one way or the other. Left it to me, and I said to hell with it. I don't ever get flu shots anyway. And covid was no worse than the flu for me.Last edited by Hughinn; 04-28-2021 at 07:59 AM.

We were not feeling our best for 2 1/2 days only.
Will likely need boosters this summer or fall as this naturally mutates. It is what it is.

I started feeling like shit 24 hours after my second moderna shot. Had chills, headaches, and off and on slight fever for 2 days and then lethargy that subsided over the next 7 days. My dad felt the same, and my girl had symptoms after her first shot, but not the second. I guess we all respond differently.
