As long as Biden does not stand on live TV in Finland and trash the US Intelligence services while sucking Putin's dick I am going to be able to get through the next 4-years.

....and here are your way left "progressive" idiots that weren't happy under Trump and look......they aren't happy under Biden either. The man just took office yesterday and already the losers are unhappy.....same as they were with Trump.

I've posted it before and I'll post it again. Watch out for the way left progressive movement. And as before, I'll point out I said progressive, not Democrats.
These people hide in the politics of both sides of the aisle and again I personally feel you have someone that coordinates their activities and keeps them riled up. The kicker is we have to ask ourselves "Who will benefit from this kind of crap?"
Edit: This isn't a response to a particular post anyone else has made. This is just me reiterating my earlier post regarding the far left progressive movement.Last edited by almostgone; 01-21-2021 at 11:16 AM.

I've said it before and I've said it again...
Lock 'em up.
Trump was right about that.
Protesting is a first amendment right.
Rioting is not.
There is a difference.

The far right & left seem to have something in common, a mistrust of government and propensity toward anarchy. Hopefully Biden won't spend 4 years fanning the flames of the far left the way Mr. you know who did for the far right.

Exactly. Bottle them both up, and what would be the noticeable difference? One bottle would have a green tint, the other bottle an orange tint.
I’m no where political, but I read through this entire thread because politics do interest me and I like knowledge. I land in the middle. Agree with both the left and the right as much as I disagree. Working in the oilfield, maybe a syringe tick more to the right. At the same time, the past 4 years of having a republican in office didn’t change shit. If anything, Trump’s tax reforms forced me to OWE taxes because I was unable to write any of my expenses off. But then if you make a left hand turn, fossil fuels go away to make room for cleaner green alternatives with “promises” of jobs to replace the patch. Are these energy efficient jobs going to provide us (oil field workers) with entry level jobs that start you out around $100k annually?
Until a particular party continues to hold office longer than a 4 to 8 year stretch, all we are doing is spinning our wheels. To think that your left or right personal preference, which all it is at the end of the day, is looking out for YOUR best interest, is insane. Look at how the most recent stimulus package played out. It took fucking MONTHS to finally reach a bullshit agreement. Why? Political gain. So opposing parties could point fingers as to why the country went so long without any support to help families from losing everything. Suicide rates, poverty rates, and deaths (COVID-19 or other illness is a whole different debate) skyrocketed in 2020.
All this has done is divide us even more. I overstand standing for something you believe.. but at what costs? That’s another reason I love the gym so much. It’s so gd diverse. And when I’m in there in my gym, there’s zero politics or race involved. Only argument is if someone is hogging a bench or machine because they’re talking too much or playing on their phone.Last edited by Krb367; 01-21-2021 at 03:05 PM.

The irony of it is, the democrat party promoted , fostered and coddled these people all last summer. They encouraged it, because they thought it would help them get back into power.
Well, now they're back in power, and the progressive left want what they feel they're owed for thier help.
Now democrats have to figure out how to stiff them on thier due, squelch the rioting with force, without admitting hypocrisy, and somehow pass the blame to others, likely "white supremacist " or "far right terrorists " or some other nonsense. Maybe even the orange man. They've got the vast majority of propaganda networks to help, but its still a tall order.
I'm going to laugh. Fun times ahead.
I seen them already fawning over bidens inauguration speech at CNN. I just wonder how the press conferences will be. Like Obama's? Where i swear the press would preen and gawk so bad, I was sure if he whipped his cock out, they would fight over who got to suck it. Chanting his name after scolding a reporter for asking an unflattering question. It was nauseating.
But biden isn't all there. There's clearly something wrong. I'm not sure they can run interference for his as effective as they did obamaLast edited by Hughinn; 01-21-2021 at 04:27 PM.

The Democrats didn’t need help getting back in power. In the summer, Trump just kept shooting himself in the foot, which was already riddled with bullet holes from his bungling of Covid.
Get your laughs in now because in a little more than two months we have the Chauvin trial.

It'll be interesting.
If he walks, then the narrative will be "white supremacist" justice system needs changed. Amd they change it to further thier agendas
If they cook him, then another "white supremacist" got what he deserved and they continue the witch hunt for others, changing the laws and justice system so the definition of whatever they're after fits the laws they make.
I do want to ask you though Wango, can you tell me exactly how you came to the conclusion he bungled covid, and exactly what he was supposed to do differently, given the information available at the time? I'd be interested in your opinion. No wrong answers.Last edited by Hughinn; 01-21-2021 at 04:47 PM.

Oh, it’s going to be f’d either way. It’s going to be the Rodney king trial and OJ trial all wrapped into one.
I don’t think it was all Trump honestly, because I truly thought the approach should have been draconian from late February/early March. Ban all international travel. If you are left oversee’s, we put you up, but you ain’t coming back home, not yet. Shut down domestic travel. No flights & no trains. Lock down and quarantine everyone to determine exactly who has it. Severe? Oh hell yeah! Would people bitch? Oh hell yeah. Would we have this situation now? Not even close.
The mask “debate” was asinine and Trump made it more political by his refusal to wear one. A lot of folks followed his lead which allowed this to spread more, that is on him. Trump refused a lot of responsibility and left it to the states to deal with the crisis which in my opinion compromised the availability of PPE to front-line workers. Honestly, there is some indication now that the vaccination roll-out should have been better planned and more support given to the states.
He didn’t want everyone alarmed or worried or something to that effect and mis-informed the country about the severity of this pandemic, which led to further non mask wearing and more social contact and increased the spread. That too is on him.
Hughinn, I’m exhausted with Covid. I have too many friends on the front lines and they are pissed off. So if you wish to discuss, I will, but this is not a war that we should have lost imo.Last edited by wango; 01-21-2021 at 05:43 PM.

And btw, I don’t view Chauvin as a supremacist. He had the power and it got the better of him. It’s got to be a insanely difficult job to decide just how much power to yield and when to back off. I am super pro-police and my gripe is he just was too blatant by having his knee on the dudes neck for so long and doing it publicly. It just f’d things up so much worse for race relations in this country.

I respect that.
But, I'm not sure there was anything that could've been done to stop it, once it left china and went global.
You look at states like california and Florida. Two very different approaches, similar results.
The thing about a plague, is that they all end the same way. It comes through like a Storm and then it's gone. I'm not convinced there was anything anybody could do to stop it, any more than you could a Storm. At least not once the spread reaches a certain point. And by all accounts, it was already here way before we knew about it.
China could have stopped it. But they chose not to. And now that Trump is gone, nobody will hold them accountable.

What did Trump do to hold them accountable?
He was the President of the United States of America after all.
He sure talked about holding them accountable... not sure he actually did anything but talk though.Last edited by The Deadlifting Dog; 01-22-2021 at 06:19 AM.

Don't really see that as punishing China.
I believe Trump was using the WHO as a scapegoat.
But I understand that you think the WHO is in China's pocket.
Anything else?
It has been about a year...

I don't see China being held accountable in any way.
They've paid millions to the biden family during various dealings. And they're not the only democrat politicians with deep ties to china.
Some even porking chinese spy's.
I can't speculate as to exactly what Trump would've done. Who can?
But I can tell you biden and the DNC will certainly give them a pass.
The only thing the biden administration and the DNC will do is try to stop people from calling it the china virus, and they will make sure none of their propoganda networks speak of the maleficent handling of the pandemic by the chinese, and label any independent research stating chinese conduct as at fault as "baseless conspiracy theories"
You can bet on that.Last edited by Hughinn; 01-22-2021 at 07:15 AM.

Do you realize all the business Ivanka and Donald do in China?
Ivanka’s Trademark Requests Were Fast-Tracked In China After Trump Was Elected
Over a span of two months in late 2018, the Chinese government granted 18 trademarks to companies linked to President Trump and his daughter. In October alone, according to the Associated Press, China’s Trademark Office granted provisional approval for 16 trademarks to Ivanka Trump Marks LLC. The new approvals covered Ivanka-branded fashion gear, including sunglasses, handbags, shoes and jewelry, as well as beauty services and voting machines. In January of 2019, China granted Ivanka’s company preliminary approval for another five trademarks covering child care centers, wedding dresses, and art valuation services. The applications were filed in 2016 and 2017.

So I guess it is fine for the Royal Family to do business with China but it isn't fine for the Biden family to do business in China.
Got it.

That's not true.
Joe and hunter flew to China on air force 2 when they sealed some of those deals.
Last time I checked, only the vice president flew on air force 2.
Joe was vice president at the time.
He was also vice president when his firm was paid millions from the mayor of moscow's widow.
Although most of press sees nothing wrong with it, nobody can figure out what the payment was for exactly, and who benefits.
But many of those deals were done while joe was vice president and in charge of foreign policyLast edited by Hughinn; 01-22-2021 at 07:51 AM.

You may be right about that.
I have no problem saying I am wrong.
My brief google search shows 2017 which is after he left office.
But let's assume you are correct:
Then I guess Biden is guilty of the same thing as Trump.
Note: More Googling... I was wrong. In 2013, Hunter flew aboard Air Force Two with his father, who was then vice-president, on an official visit to Beijing, where the younger Biden met investment banker Jonathan Li.
Hunter told the New Yorker he just met Mr Li for "a cup of coffee", but 12 days after the trip a private equity fund, BHR Partners, was approved by the Chinese authorities. Mr Li was chief executive and Hunter was a board member. He would hold a 10% stake.

Why are you so worried about Biden and what he did in China, Hughinn, when Donald Trump was about 400 million in debt by the time he left the White House? Who do you think he was in debt to, he’s had about 7 bankruptcies here in the US. Do you really think any legit lender here gave him 400 million after all his bankruptcies? Even Deutsch Bank dropped him recently. Why do you think he fooled his followers into donating upwards of 200 million and went along with the lie until the very last minute? Can’t really call anyone out on anything when the guy you support is Trump. He’s the ultimate con artist and corrupt businessman/political figure. He’s going down as that. And here you are talking about Biden. Do you always root for the villains in movies?

Well, we spend the past four years of our media crawling up the ass of every member of the Trump family with microscope.
For myself, it'd go along way for me just to see that treatment go both ways.
I hope for that. But, I know better.
Most american citizens had no idea of that stuff. And that it was intentionally and maliciously withheld. And that's what's the most unfortunate
Lol. No test. I don't always go for the villain. But to be fair, the label of villain and hero are entirely depending upon perspective.

Irrelevant, but fun (disputable) fact IMO
Led Zeppelin got their name from The Who. I don’t remember exact details, but it was said in a conversation that they (LZ) would go down like a lead zeppelin. It all started as a joke, and spelt Led to avoid being pronounced incorrectly. Fast forward to the artwork of their first album cover of a crashing zeppelin on fire.
