My goal is to be able to bench my body weight no matter how old I am! I may weigh less when I hit 80...LOL I will probably be worm food when I reach 98!

That sounds like a great goal. And yeah I don’t expect to live to 90 or 100 either but it is inspiring to see someone that age pushing it. Once my body starts giving out on me it’s time for me to go I’d hate to be in a wheelchair on dialysis for a decade or some fate like that.

This lady seems to have some physical problems, but her mind appears to be sharp. My problem will be alzheimers or dementia. Family history tells me it will hit about 79 and I will be dead about 84. I won't remember how to drive or get to the gym.

I turned 60 last month and still bench 350 for 4 reps, "when not on cycle" 6-7 when on. My old joints can't take it so I don't always go heavy.

I think I agree about mind sharpness being more important than bodily ability -- your grandkids will remember the things you say to them more than what you could do with your body.

I'd love to be like the Sikh guy in England who was still running marathons after his 100th birthday. But to be honest if I'm still walking around in the last month of my life then I'll be happy enough.

I saw a YT video of some Chinese body builder in his 70s that looked like a jacked 25 year old. They talked about how he eats 10 eggs for breakfast but not his cycle lol I wanted to know.

    Amazing!

I’ve never even maxed out over triple plates - for one rep

It looks like she had a drop off physically since her last meet. If she is on a cane now, doing balance work and simply working on sit to stand, then something happened. But for her to be doing deadlifts with that form before, at 97-98? That’s some freakishly amazing orthopedic stuff happening in her spine, legs and feet. Same with bench and military press, damn her shoulders are amazingly intact! Way to go Edith!

Every time I hear something like this, my jaw drops. It is amazing for their age.
