Here's an analogy.....Do you think a 4yr old kid can kick your azz?
I'm betting it's pretty close to the same for Gorilla V. Human
Unless you use a lil' Duct Tape

well... if the guy can kill a bull with one punch... a Gorilla is no problem.

I think that if the guy can get it over with very quickly and was trained for the situation and all that like said I think the guy has a good chance... if it goes more then 3 quick blows without the gorilla even being knocked down... the guy don't stand a chance. And I'm going to have to go a different route then everyone else... I don't think a human stands a chance punching... I think kicking is the key. Some of them martial arts guys can kick like you wouldn't believe!

Funny sheot bdtr, the only chance I would have is to catch it in a triangle and hold on for my dear life. Even a chimp is amazingly strong, no chance. Good thread though. Hey bdtr does Randleman count as a gorilla or human.

I'll continue to say that I think far too many of you are underestimating the "sneak attack". I mean, I'm not even close to being a primate expert of the sort that would train this fighter (or be a part of the team training him) but suppose the strategy was to walk up to the gorilla (in a non-threatening way...maybe even spending days or weeks in the cage with it to gain its trust...hell, maybe even YEARS; this is after all, the person's sole reason for existence) and simply (hate to be gross and violent here, but...) and completely rip its esophagus out...every day for twenty years the guy trained on an advanced simulator to know just how to do this, so there's little margin for error. I don't know, I'm just throwing out ideas.
Yeah, no way in a spontaneous fight would a man win, but I'm serious when I say a guy who trained his WHOLE LIFE for this very moment.

I would go with the trained human, if he were trained to give a death blow, such as breaking the neck, or hell even start the fight by an eye gouge to blind the gorilla. Some regular guy that just happens to fight a pissed off gorilla in the streets would not have a chance though. As BG said the gorilla would not see the human as a threat in the given circumstance until the first blow was given, with that in mind and the human being trained for the fight, well then the human has the advantage!

Well if Arnold killed the predator, I think a gorilla is no problem... No seirouly though hands down the gorilla no problem..

if its a fair fight without "cheap" shots theres no chance what-so-ever for the man, if he knows the touch of death and does it without the gorilla knowing then there is a good possibility like BG said, if ur gonna do that y not just take a shotgun and shoot the gorilla? but if the gorilla somehow knew he had to fight the human 1on1 and they were put into a ring without the human having chance for cheap shots, there is no chance at all the human would win.....

Dammit al, it's been almost a year and I'm just getting pissed off all over again at you fools and your reluctance to entertain the idea of a human who has been trained since birth for this moment. By martial artists, scientists, AND primatologists. It's like the manhattan project of gorilla killing.....

Can the dude have a weapon?
-
10-12-2004, 01:50 PM #56
I don't really know if a human could beat a gorilla head up, I doubt very seriously that it would happen. BUT on the otherhand, I believe a human should just use the advantage he has, intelligence.....I think I read somewhere once that humans are the well rounded "animals" of the planet. Most of us have higher intellect that gorillas, so I wouldn't even try to fight the gorilla 1 on 1. Why not just build a weapon to kill it, Gorilla has the strength and sheer animal instinct, and a human would stand no chance, so why not use brains to beat it? I'd shoot a can of tear gas at it and then fight.

fukk fighting a gorilla, thats why they make guns
-
10-12-2004, 04:14 PM #58
maybe someone else has said this, but the only chance the human would have is not hitting the gorilla first, but gouging his eyes out, the gorilla goes blind, the human could then take him, as long as he doesn't screw up and take a wild blow by the gorilla.

not for killing a gorilla per say.... but this could be one of his feats.
Better than training your whole life to become 5th degrees in 5 different styles.. for? nothing. Might as well kill a gorilla along the way.

I personally think that the "idea" of the gorilla could beat the man. The pure thought of a 500lb gorilla thats soul job is to protect his family and friends.

a supreme human is a myth...gorilla will come out victorious anyway u look at it.....their strength is just too much for the human to handle and to poke silverback in the eye, well, that is if u can reach it before getting ur entire hand or head decapitated.....they are like machines compare to humans....being a wild animal and psychotic just makes them even more powerfull and dominant over a human.

what about if it was the myostatin mutation baby, all grown up, who had trained his entire life for this moment, and whose fingernails had been grown long and sharpened like in that episode of OZ.

I still think a bull's skull is thicker than a gorilla's.. its made for butting sort of. Ive hit a bull smack dab in the head with a bat (dont ask.... it was fun), and that fuker just looked at me funny... thick fukin skulls.
